No. Keep Lamb and then it would be okay. Give up Morris.

Personally, I think that's a no-brainer yes. You have to give up something to get something. The important parts are we keep our financial flexibility, we keep our #1 prospect (D-Mo) and #2 prospect (Parsons), we keep our Houston draft picks in case Howard walks. We can run a team out there like this in that scenario:

    Lin/Douglas
    Lee/Richardson
    Parsons/White
    Motiejunas/Patterson
    Howard/Asik

Just heard this on SportsCenter - talks are getting serious between LAL, CLE, and ORL

    LAL - get Dwight
    CLE - get Bynum
Magic - get Verajao and some other crap.. (forget what the other crap was)

Orlando is ridiculously stupid if they really are serious about this...

This is why I wish the trade went down on draft night. None of us had any problem trading Lowry + all 3 picks for Dwight. Now we're all attached and are hardly willing to let go of any of them.

Richardson and Lee are both serviceable 2 guards. Duhon is terrible.

All the Lakers do is upgrade the center position. Unbelievable.

Man, Orlando seriously cannot be thinking that is a good deal. Any word on what the fans think (not that it really matters I suppose)

Still, have fingers cross it is a smoke screen.

I don't agree that Parsons is our #2 prospect. Lamb probably is at this point.

SportsCenter/ESPN has been consistently wrong about Dwight rumors the last month. What makes you think that this crap deal is any more correct?

I heard something on ESPN earlier stating that we wouldn't have room for Dwight and other contracts if we get Asik. Any truth to this?

Easily. I wouldn't trade him for a rental Dwight. An extended Dwight would be different. Terrence Jones shows enough potential for him to be the rookie to give to Orlando.

Agreed. Parsons ceiling is a high quality role player. all 4 of our rookies have much higher upside. I LOVE Parsons and would be sad to see him go, but he wouldn't be too hard to replace IMO, especially with the way Morey drafts.

it has to be. Hennigan would get thrown out of orlando for that deal. If I'm Morey I laugh and now offer him LESS. Martin, Raptor Pick, Morris, take back a bad contract.

    Yeah, the next page.

But it seems conjecture by just another poster, say, you, or me, writing, "I think we're gonna get Dwight."

They're wrong. They don't have any pulse on this situation. Other, more reliable people, have come out and said that Asik and Lin's contracts are factored into the Rockets' offer for Dwight.

ESPN is just flat out wrong about the Rockets preparing to take on the 4 bad contracts the Magic would like to ship along with Dwight, and so of course they would believe that Asik and Lin have an effect on that.

Fact is, the Rockets are looking to give up considerably less, and take back less than what ESPN is saying, so Lin and Asik ultimately do not affect our plans for pursuing Dwight.

Meh, it's close, but I still take Parsons. He's proven in the NBA and he's a more complete player.

You can't read too much into 5 summer league games. Small sample size against inferior competition. And even in those games, Lamb showed what? That he's a really good pure scorer when playing against rookies?

Parsons may not have the scoring potential, but he's already a much better defender, rebounder, and passer.

I would give Lamb the edge in raw potential but Parsons an even bigger edge in current ability. The overall win goes to Parsons.

Lot of hurdles in the talks. One more:
    Sam Amico ‏@SamAmicoFSO
Lakers will not take Jason Richardson. He supposedly has personal issue with Steve Nash. @withmalice @enc0ur

Martin, Parsons, Jones, Raptor pick, Dallas pick, NY 2nd rders, and fillers is the most I'd give up for Dwight and Hedo at this point in time. They get a likely fan favorite in Parsons, an underrated Jones, expirings and picks. Not going to get much better than that for the magic.

    Lin/Livingston
    (Lee?)/Lamb
    Hedo/White/Morris
    Ppat/Dmo
    Howard/Asik

Certainly would be a fun team to watch next season.
