We should ask the sources in Vegas.

    @YannisHW

Hold up on Magic deal with Rockets for Dwight Howard is no centerpiece player. Nothing is immenent according to sources in Las Vegas.

So they want a superstar in return, most of our top rookies, relief from their bad contracts and our best draft picks.....GetRdone Morey ;)

If they are intent on raping us for all of our prospects and cap space, I'd rather just stick with what we got.

This guy is an idiot. Why would they have even discussed the trade with us if it was about a centerpiece on our end?

Same here, this can't be true. The more Dwight talks and time passes, the better our chances become

Well, they could've had Lowry, but they wanted a draft pick instead. They need to make up their minds :p

Then keep Dwight and let him walk after next season.

    All good.

I think they want Bynum tho.

Maybe they want Bynum AND picks AND cap relief, but reality is against them. LA is not in a position to offer picks or cap relief. Just Bynum. In the end, I think they will be forced to go with our offer & not get a centerpiece back, since we can give them two out of the three things they want, in spades.

Orlando should understand we are "paying the rate" to potentially rent DHoward. If DHoward would agree to an extension then the rockets would give up everything and the kitchen sink.

If Orlando doesnt like our offer, then keep em and get nothing in return.

Uh, if we had a centerpiece player, why the heck would we trade him.

I dont blame mourey for continously trying to get dwight. what do we have to lose? We have nothing!

And one thing I know about maury is that he will not let us get raped. And if this season becomes a wash for trying to get howard, well its not like anyone is going to miss the 14th lottery pick.

So keep going morerey...Make some magic happen. I was frustrated with the offseason but at this point I will just let it be.

Sure, Hennigan. Just keep thinking you're going to get a Melo like trade package. Difference there was he was willing to agree to an extension. No one is going to give you that kind of deal with a possible rental.

Call his bluff. I dare them to go into the season with Howard still on their roster. I bet that media circus is just what they want.

Thats the thing...it looks like a very real possibility that the circus doesn't leave ORL till the trade deadline (which in that case, the Rockets would get the absolute best deal!)...

If the Rockets dont make a deal for Howard...they seriously can quickly rebuild...with a chance at a lottery pick, Toronto lottery pick, Dallas lottery pick, and a chance at these Rookies developing ...Sergio Llull?..the possibilities seem endless...the Rockets future is clearly better now than they were last year!

oh and i forget...loads of cap space!

If we're interested in one-year rentals: Grant Hill.

Yup you nailed it. Sure it is awhile until the season starts and Dwight isn't even running yet, but he is at risk of overplaying his hand imo.

I think Morey's reported bid price seems to be a good bid considering health and rental issues. Time will tell if Hennigan comes off his absurd asking price.
