Agreed,I would be happy with a Dwight/Gay/Lin trio.I mean Gay would be the best player Dwight has played with.He took Orlando to the Finals a few years back with Turkoglu as his sidekick.Yeah Gay might be overpaid but the dude can create his own shot and he is clutch. He's a top 4 sf behind Lebron/Durant/Melo/Gay.

    Lin
    Jrich
    Gay
    Dmo
    Dwight

That lineup can contend with anybody in the West.

Gay sucks, one of the more overrated players around the league & on Clutchfans especially. Much rather have Iggy or Smith honestly.

    C - Dwight Howard
    PF - Josh Smith
    SF - Chandler Parsons

worst free throw shooting front court in NBA ever

Iggy/Smith may be the better all around players, but they can't create their own shots like Gay can.We would need a go to scorer if we traded for Dwight.Sorry but Iggy/Smith can't create their own shots.

Very logical and a good bet this is exactly how Morey is playing this game - leave enough assets after the Howard trade to bring in either Smith(preferable) or Gay(2nd choice) to team up with Dwight. I think both are friends of Howard - I know Smith is....not sure about Gay.

I think Morey always "got it". It just took awhile to convince Les. The roster turnover has just been breath taking. I would not bet against Morey walking away with both Howard and Josh Smith this off season. While keeping D-Mo, Parsons and Lamb. The guy is on a roll.

Lol my bad fellas. Only a free agent can be traded later while DMO is a draft pick we signed which means he can get traded in 30 days. Lol sorry

That's what I would imagine. That information probably got leaked after Morey inquired with those teams. Probably has to gauge interest to see how receptive those teams would be and what a deal might take. That way he would know what he could commit to a Dwight deal.

no doubt.... anyone thinking dwight would be the only player added doesn't know morey. the easiest way to convince dwight to stay is by winning. josh smith has been rumored here for awhile so odds are morey already has a post-dwight package in place. and it surely doesn't hurt that smith and howard are supposedly good friends. you can be this much - should morey land dwight he sure as hell won't be resting on his laurels.

moreso than anyone else i would really hate to see DMo traded but if we are shooting for DH and Smith it's hard to imagine him not being included somehow.

If the trade doesn't go down in the next few days, that's what I'm gonna assume. Last roadblock is out of the way now.
