Honestly 2 weeks? For something that has been getting worked on for the past almost 2 months now? Like people have said before I honestly believe there is already a deal done but everything is being waited on for the Omer Asik signing to go through. Cause the Lin signing and the soon to be Asik signing were all takin into consideration for the D12 trade to work salary wise. I think it should happen by next week if anything. Obvisouly nobody has a better package than us since every week they go from the Cavs being in the lead then back to the Rockets being front runners. Then the week after the Lakers have a deal then back to the Rockets being front runners once again and then the weak after the Cavs and Lakers have three team deal in the works just for the Rockets to end up being front runners again. Some of these reporters are in it for the attention and publicity in my opinion casue Woj hasn't said anything yet and we all know he is as legit as they get.

as much as I love Parson's all-around game...most of his value is on the defensive end.
So, the idea of losing him is a lot easier to cope with if the exchange is for Dwight. Couple that with the fact Parsons is also a putrid FT shooter and it makes even more sense big picture (gotta worry about end game strategy).

the fact he is a hometown boy might increase his value to Orlando as well

You wouldn't trade Parsons if it meant getting Gay or Iggy?

I have to agree that Parsons seems like an ideal candidate to be moved. Probably our best value contract on the books at this point, and also plays a position we're very thin at, but that said, there are just too many reasons why Parsons to orlando works. If Parsons is in the deal, i think we may very well avoid having to include White or Jones, especially if we take back a ton of contracts, include the Bobcats pick (along with our other picks), and make Pat available. Could be wishful thinking. In any case, I just don't see Lamb or D-Mo going anywhere, so how can it not be Parsons...

Im sorry but they have to choose between Parsons or Lamb,no way we trade both for what could be a rental.

That's exactly what I would give up but instead of our own first, I'd throw in Jones.

Definitive statements with no basis in fact only serve your own ego.
I think (see, clearly speculative), the Florida connection inflates Parsons value for Orlando and makes his inclusion possible.

Our next year first round is untradeable.

Thats exactly how I feel. No ONE player is untouchable but these are the two that I don't want to see together in any package..

    Detail:
Houston's 2013 first round draft pick to Atlanta
Houston's own 2013 1st round pick to Atlanta via Brooklyn (top 14 protected in 2013, top 14 protected in 2014, top 14 protected in 2015 and top 14 protected in the 2016 Draft). If Atlanta via Brooklyn does not receive a 1st round pick from Houston by the 2016 Draft, then Houston will convey their own 2017 2nd round pick and cash to Atlanta via Brooklyn. [Brooklyn- Houston - Los Angeles Lakers, 12/15/2010 and then Atlanta-Brooklyn, 7/11/2012]

Doesn't really matter what I would do. We aren't trading Parsons.

But, no, I would not trade Parsons for Iggy or Gay.

No doubt Orlando wants him very bad. But we aren't trading him.

I don't think we have any untouchables. It's a question of how much we give up, not which guys. The people who think we're going to send Patterson, Morris, and Martin and that's all are delusional.

It will be some selection of Parsons/Lamb/White/Jones/Motiejunas, although certainly not all of them.

Why do you guys value Parsons so much? The untouchable status is left for franchise level players like Lebron, Durant, CP3, and Howard.... Not for averagish players....

Oh man ...what a relief! like a weight off my shoulders. Thanks so much. I can stop thinking about that now. One less thing to consider. Case closed. You can take that to the bank. No way, no how. finito! Put a nail in it. I swear on my mother. Period! End of story.

since you seem to know everything with certainty, will you let me take you to Vegas next time I go? And can i get you to change this cup of water on my desk to wine? It's never to early.

Having Parsons at least gives the team some level of stability defensively (aside from Asik).

Jones/White is the most I'd do out of that.
