"@AQS18:When will the Dwightmare on Elm Street end?" We now finally have a checkered flag. Or pistol shot? I shouldn't use NASCAR analogies.

    What does that mean?

it means that real deals are being put together instead of just stupid hypotheticals being floated around by agents. this falls in line with the thinking that once the rockets settled matters with Lin and Asik, things were going to get moving in a hurry.

Has anyone seen a "reliable" projection as to when D12 might be game ready for this next season? Just wondering how long(short) this rental might be.

So we've seen this guy's tweets being posted in this thread for quite a while. I assume he's some sort of insider that has a good pulse on what's going on? Or is this all just speculation by him based on the same facts that we have?

Not sure, Morey said Magic is motivated to trade Howard b4 their new coach comes to the training camp, and everyone knows Magic is waiting for the offer from Houston to make the final decision.

Honestly, the only difference I see between that guy and the rest is that he's just confident that we'll land Dwight. He never wavered during the BS realgm publicly announced. I think its better to believe no one and just roll with whatever. I dont think anyone knows anything about wtf Orlando is thinking.

No, he didn't play "small," but he averaged 6/4, while Scola, who wasn't injured either, was averaging 18/8. You and others use the excuse that last season's play from Patterson was due to coming off an injury. Well, so was Luis. Funny how often that's overlooked when talking about Scola's production last season. With Luis, it's a "decline" due to age. With Patterson, it's "less production because of coming off an injury." What's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander, is it.

I think it was shot in September 2011 when he was visiting China and Taiwan.

I believe if they sign Bellineli and acquire Heinrich they then are not capable of matching because of the hard cap. At that point we would automatically be rewarded Asik. Tuesday otherwise.

In two years, three at most the Lakers are going to have to blow it up and start over.

Kobe, Gasol, Nash, Artest, it's an aging, very expensive team. They may have a major piece to start over with and they may not. But they have to play through the Kobe era, try to maximize that hand and see if they can make one final push.

I would fully expect a 3 -7 year period following that, best case where the Lakers aren't much of a factor in terms of contending. Very much like the period between the end of the Magic Johnson era and the start of Kobe and Shaq.

I think this is why LA is pushing so hard for Dwight. He might not make too much of a difference compared to Bynum, but a couple years from now when Kobe, Nash and Gasol are retiring, players like Kevin Love would probably be more willing to join Dwight Howard than Andrew Bynum.

Haha seriously? Somebody a few days ago posted the top ranked summer league players over the past several years... How bout you take a look at those and get back to us.

You're certifiably insane if you wouldn't trade damn near every one of them for a top 3 superstar, rental or no.
