It's Webber being traded to the KINGS that my example was, idiot. Who remembers Webber as a 76er?

Furthermore, your example is an example of being incredibly superlatively narrow. Because while it's true that there aren't many examples of players being traded to a team they don't want to go to.....how many examples are there of players saying they don't want to be traded to a particular team in the first place? So, even assuming that the Dwight doesn't want to go to Houston at all costs, it's a unique situation.

My question still stands, and I'll note that you refuse to answer it, which as far as I'm concerned makes you a troll. So I'll repeat.

Since superstars and max free agent players would prefer to play for LA and Brooklyn than Houston, and since you seem to believe that teams have some sort of obligation to trade their stars to the place they want to go, does it not follow from your claim that LA and Brooklyn will eternally have the best stars, and Houston should let itself just exist and basically be their b****?

After all, if you think about it, it doesn't make any sense. Say what you transpire is true. We trade for Dwight, Dwight gets mad. Furthermore, according to you, this affects any chance we have of getting future max free agents as they'll note that Houston is an evil manipulator.

But those future free agents are going to go to LA anyways, according to you.

L.A. Can't take on those bad contracts, so I see Dwight ending up here. No 3 way deal.

    Tony Mejia ‏@TonyMejiaNBA
"@Mike_Dhillion:Tony, do u know what Rockets would offer?" Some variation of Martin/picks/young talent. Patterson/Parsons/rooks have upside.

I think Rockets rather want Howard more than Bynum. We are the one in control who we want to acquire--Howard or Bynum. I think Howard since he wont sign extension with any team and he will explore free agency.

I think I understand more and more why Morey is into renting Howard. He tries to use Lin and the marketability of China to convince him to stay and if that doesn't work then he just does a sign and trade of Howard for Bynum. Either way, he gets his big man.

Mejia thinks the best offer the Magic could get would be a LA-HOU three way trade. I guess he thinks LA will take back multiple bad contracts (or one of the big ones) to improve the deal for ORL. Kinda hoping Morey just plays hardball and refuses to make a deal unless the Rockets get Howard. ORL can't deal with LA straight up.

Mejia saying that implies Houston's offer would stay the same, and Orlando would have the bonus dishing more bad contracts off to LA.

Obviously Morey could put the kabash on that quite easily...

Best thing about this is knowing that Stephen A. won't get his wish.

Bynum I feel if healthy will allow us to keep more cap space and more pieces to build around him. Just let LA and the Heat have the next three years and build around Bynum.

I believe this is what you are refering to:

Webber said his free agency caused him to reflect on his time in Sacramento, which began with a trade from Washington in 1998. Webber nearly didn't report to his new team in Northern California, then cried on the plane ride out.

"At the time [of the trade], it was probably the worst time of my life," Webber said. "But this turned out to be the best place for me. Being sent here was a blessing, not a punishment."

I was on board with either Dwight or Bynum but then I started hearing more and more about Bynum's knees and now I'm leaning only toward Dwight. Very worried Bynum's knees are on the verge of breaking down.

Why would Buss not want to trade Bynum then at his peak which is now? If their were concerns wouldnt the lakers have already shipped him out

Only way Morey takes Bynum is if he can give up less than what it would take to land Howard. But Lakers don't have any assets to allow Morey to give up less, so it pretty much means Howard or bust.

They're trying to ship him out right now. They want Dwight pretty bad. If they manage to sign Bynum to an extension, then I guess we will know they think his knees are OK. But in that case we'll also know they're out of the Dwight chase

Are you serious you do know Bynum is the 2nd best center in the NBA,and you don't think Cleveland would trade Waiters/Zeller for Bynum?

Some people just don't know basketball.SMH

Tony Mejia: "@joebull10:Do Rockets give up less in 3way trade?" I'd think with no Dwight and no guarantee Bynum stays, that would be negotiating stance. 1 minute ago

what strikes me as funny in all this, if Cleveland had drafted Valanciunas over Thompson last year they would be the front runner for Dwight right now.
