The one thing that really bothers me about all of this the past few hours is that we still haven't heard confirmation from Dwight or his camp/agent, and we still haven't gotten confirmation from Morey / Rockets. Sure, it looks like it's in the bag, but... It's Dwight. I'm nervous. How freaking popular would he be in LA if he had a "last minute change of heart" and resigned with LA? LAL fans are *****ting on him now, but he'd be a hero tomorrow if he stayed there. Yep, I am nervous. I will be until the ink is dry.
Royce White would be traded under almost any circumstances just to get him the F out of here and clear his capspace off the books. Even if we did miss out on Dwight we'd still want cap to go after other guys.

You're going to be waiting a while if you're waiting for anyone from the Rockets to comment or the ink to dry. Neither will happen until, at least, the 10th. Reports are that Dan Fegan (Dwight's agent) or D12 himself will publicly comment/confirm his decision later tonight or tomorrow morning. He's doing the professional thing and telling his previous employer in person that he's going another direction. Kupchak, if you remember, made the effort right as free agency started, to meet Dwight briefly to wish him luck. D12 is returning the gesture.
The rockets are like a side piece!!!!!!! they do EVERYTHING and dwight goes home to the wife. It is interesting that dwight, not the lakers, are making the effort to get to the meeting. the rockets had to come to LA, bwbwhwahwhawhabhwa further pie in the face.
