WOW. This is the guy who I want to lead my team. True Superstar Skills and the attitude to get it done no matter what/who is on team.
O.K., I will admit it. I am super bummed out about Ariza coming back. I thought he was a huge disappointment when he was here last. And, yes, Parsons was a favorite, but, frankly, I would not have paid him near max money either. Nevertheless, he will be missed. My guess is that Howard is not as cheery in private as he is in public.
He also tweeted about how he said chandler was his favorite teammate and good things about him but the writer never put it in the story
He shouldn't be worried. Yeah he appreciated Parsons, but if he doesn't want to be in Houston than fair enough, its better that way then. Move on and realize you are still in a great position regardless. Props to Dwight.
[rquoter]After Parsons left, former teammate Dwight Howard said his departure “won’t affect us at all.” Parsons said the comment didn’t bother him, but it was “ridiculous.” “I know he didn’t mean it. He’s one of my closest friends,” said Parsons. “He’s got to be confident with the Rockets moving forward with or without me there, so I understand where he’s coming from. I think it’s a ridiculous statement, but at the end of the day, he has to stick up for the Rockets and I don’t think he meant it in a bad way and didn’t try to bash me at all.” http://jimrome.com/2014/07/23/chandler-parsons-on-mark-cuban-i-think-hes-the-best-owner-in-sports/ [/rquoter]
At some point he's got to learn to keep his mouth shut or only say enough to answer the question, and even then, you don't always have to answer. If he's one of your closest friends, why make a comment that basically calls him a liar? All he has to say is:
Ariza was better last year, albeit in a contract year, so was Parson's to an extent. Oh, and Ariza actually makes attempts on defense.
