Dude's nuts, we got AJ and KW, beyond that it should be a fairly open competition, where could he go that offers such a crap shoot beyond the #2 WR? Seems he is a little too self entitled for his own good, plus the time he was asked to leave his own pro day, haha, buh-bye Dwight.

What other team could offer a better opportunity to make a roster?

I guess my purchase of a Dwight Jones jersey was premature.

Beats me. Nobody has ever accused this guy of being too bright. Not sure how these nonguaranteed contracts work anyway. Just seems hard to fathom some dude walking away from his shot at the nfl so willingly.

Andre Johnson probably broke his heart when he heard Dwight Jones used his name in vain. How dare he compare himself to the man, himself.

Dre probably showed him the Innegan clip, and said "say that again, and this will be you."

This comment on the chronicle article sums it up...

If you could have picked one name of any player on the Texans' roster who would quit the team, saying he didn't want to play football anymore, who would it have been?
When a person's mouth is the hardest working part of their body, the rest of him/her will quit first.

GK: "Dwight, we are going to cut you"
DJ: "You can't cut me, I quit. Peace, dawg"

well its not as open competition as you think, especially for a first-year UDFA.. Posey & Martin are given the most opportunity, Jean a 2nd-year UDFA has a legitimate shot as do a few other 2nd-year UDFAs. kubiak will look into bringing in a vet. even if dwight jones tore it up in preseason his chances of making the team this year were very slim.. UDFAs have to pay dues in this system before they see the field on the O/D..

He'll probably go to the Jets. Easy to learn the offense when there is no QB on the roster to throw him the ball.

This is similar to the response I see 75% of the time someone gets fired.

The Washington Post link says that Dwight "joked" that he would be the next Andre Johnson. I was listening to the radio at the time of the interview and he was most definitely not joking. His attitude was so cocky...I have to admit, it got me excited for his potential. It is a disappointment because I had wet dreams of him actually living up to his size, speed, and potential. Clearly, there was a reason he went undrafted. In any case, Texans have some nice options in Posey, Martin, Jean, and possibly Sims-Walker.

    lol

    Something like that.

Maybe he got schooled by Kareem, and out of embarrassment, just couldn't bring himself to continue, lol.
