All I can say is, I'm glad this wasn't the title chosen for this thread.

I am also ashamed to say that I LOL'd at this comment.

This can work. If Asik and G Smith works then this can work

I'm convinced that Asik can reliably hit the 15-footer. He's got good form and even showed the ability to drain playoff FT's down the stretch. Just because he hasn't done it doesn't mean he can't. Two points is not as good as three, but at the same time, it is much more reliable.

It will be like in Enders' Game, where the two factions will fall into the Parsons faction, thereby making the team whole under one leader...

Sorry. That was a very very minor spoiler from the book that may not even make the film. It was not intended as a big spoiler, I promise.

I'm very glad to see he's hanging with Lin and Parsons...do you think they'll have a positive effect on his attitude? I'm one of the people who are scared that Dwight will have a negative effect on the team chemistry.

Exactly... Certainly starting or playing our twin towers at the same time will cause come adjustments elsewhere... And hsrdwn/lin probably will have greater difficulty getting into the paint.... But what about the positives? Let's give it a chance... Like another said, we owe that to asik... And I'm very optimistic it will work on a average 10-15 mpg depending on matchup.

What do you expect Howard to say in public after all the bad press(most his own fault) he's gotten the past few seasons? We need to keep Howard happy from day 1, so things don't snowball into a lost season like it did for him last year in LA.

We are paying Howard max salary for an upgrade over Asik so Howard should be our center.

Asik was great last year but he's not an elite athlete like Howard. Asik was among the leaders in offensive rebounds and yet he barely averaged 10 pts per game scoring. Considering our pace it means to me that he didn't get many put back points off rebounds(I'm sure there are stats to prove or disprove my theory). How many turnovers did Asik cause each game when Lin or Harden were trying to get the ball to him in the post for easy baskets because of his bad hands?

Just a few extra buckets per game off offensive rebounds and better hands on passes to the post and we probably would've won 5 to 10 more games last season. This and better rim protection (Asik only averaged 1.1 blocks) are the reasons why we got Howard.

I understand why people are all worked up about the possibility of twin towers again, but Asik just isn't a good enough athlete to make it work as well as The Dream and Sampson.

Now we want to take Howard away from the basket and away from his strengths just to make Asik happy?

I don't think anyone besides yourself is interested in 2 years from now. There's a lot of basketball to be played between now and then. The winning starts NOW. Man, with Morey, this whole team could look different in 2 years never mind Asik!

Maybe people don't realize this, but Asik is hitting 10-15 jumpers over in Eurobasket summer league in Turkey. This whole argument about "clogging the paint" is mute and beyond worthless. Stop doubting your guys and coaches. Come opening day, Asik will be a stretch 5. Watch...

Hey, coaches coach, players play and fans act like they know more than they do.....nature of the beast.
It can work....these guys are professionals, not your over 30 basketball league at the YMCA fellas.Plus I really feel if you have never played the game with any kind of success, what do you really know ? Experience is worth its weight in gold.....and these are experienced coaches and players we are talking about.
