Howard is not elite at anything.

Dwight is a smart cat. I get the feeling he's activated Horry mode.

When we get to playoffs he'll beast while all the other fools crumble under pressure.

Off season we thought we were deep.

Not deep enough for Dwight to pull that off.

I'm not sure what's worse. A player not trying on purpose even though we're playing poorly

or a player losing athleticism/speed/mobility due to multiple back injuries ...

Dwight is hot garbage. He can't rebound defend of make Dunks/layups.

The problem is he THINKS he's an elite scorer, thus the complaints about not getting the ball, etc. If only he could be like DeAndre Jordan who knows his role and isn't looking to score.

He'll walk at the end of the year

So that was his second back-to-back game of the season and he's looked terrible in both of them. He's probably dealing with knee pain just like last season. If you look at his best games this season, they have all come after 2-3 days of rest.

If the Rockets are to have any chance of a successful playoff run, it probably starts with dumping Dwight. It's going to look bad, but it's worth it.

    He needs more touches. Period.

You have to keep your big man involved in the offense, especially when he's working so hard on defense. Those touches in the post mean everything. The possessions are built on trust from your teammates. And, Dwight *CAN* score in the post. We aren't getting him the ball early enough, and only a few of our guys can make a decent post-pass when he's sealed off his opponent. Where's Mario Elie, or heck, Matt Maloney to throw him good pass?

He may not be Orlando Dwight, but he's much better than what many are suggesting.

He has missed countless layups around the rim. You can see the decline.

Meh, his stats are similar to last year except his usage is lower.

Hard to measure his defense when the other team is easily walking by our perimeter defense through backdoor cuts or other means.

Maybe he is in decline, but most posters are just using the eye test on a broken team

These highlights only prove how much smarter defenders have gotten in the past few years. 3/4 of Dwight's moves in the video would have guys draw charges in today's NBA.

Not not that but that Dwight is done. He isn't nearly as explosive or athletic. And that Dwight was also very very decisive with his moves Houstons Dwight isn't and for some reason never was. He always hesitates ( minus that 1 Portland series in the playoffs )

Yeah because when he's decisive he pushes people around, except nowadays if you get pushed and you fall, you did a good job on defense because you'll get the charge called in your favor.
