Dwight is a double edged sword.

His positives and defensive presence is unquestioned.

With that out of the way, he absolutely destroys our offense. The mavs game is more then enough of an example. Look how much ball movement we had even with Capela in. Dwight just clogs the paint and makes it even hard on James to drive. Worse is his scoring issues. As much as he likes to get touches, his points should only come from off the ball like Deandre.

This statement should be put on a plaque, framed and placed on every wall of an NBA fan.

One of the great rebounders of all time. He will retire as a top 6-7 in all time rebounds, maybe number 4 If he can get a bit more healthy.

Dwight DOMINATED cousins. He always gets up vs. these big time centers. Media awful quiet

This is what most fans forget, shots from big men are more efficient than shots from perimeter players unless they're hitting everything or they're shooting 3s, that's because big men shoot closer to the basket so if you look at FG% big men will have FG in the 50-60 range whereas perimeter players have it in the 40-50%.

In the case of Dwight, he isn't an offensive powerhouse and at his age he pretty much lost the decent post offense he had in his prime, however this doesn't mean he should be frozen out in the offense Dwight has high BBall IQ and coupled with his athletecism and decent hands it makes him a deadly PNR player, esp. since James is a master in attracting D and hitting guys on the dribble. Hack-a-Dwight was popular last year but as this game showed it is all mental, if he continues to practice and hit his FTs teams are gonna find it hard to stop Dwight in the PnR.

He was 7-9 so what do you mean he could have finished some basket better?

8-9 or 9-9 would have been better

Maybe the missed assist towards the end from harden when Dwight missed the dunk. Other than that looks good on d and got good lobs

Dwight was phenomenal tonight on both ends. Kudos to the big guy.

He was sensational tonight. Equal parts funny and sad to see people STILL trying to find something to criticize.

He was indeed. Which is why I am puzzled how he has games like these and games where he only has 5 rebounds.

He goes for the block too often for my taste and seems to end up out of position for the board. Idk, but I'm just gonna hope that his performance tonight is another aspect of the game that starts to trend up for us.

Great game. He's still capable of dominance.

Cousins was getting so salty looking like a rookie against Dwight.

Lol, what? Our offense was immensely better tonight than in Dallas.

Dwight would look like a sophomore against monster Shaq or Hakeem.

    The circle is closing

there were four times in the fourth where he got fouled while shooting and had a chance to finish for the and 1, but he didnt convert any of them. he was amazing and its a small point but his performance would have been greater with a couple of those.

just to be clear, dwight played great, hes a beast, happy birthday
