Dwight Howard's Press Conference and Fan Rally -- July 13, 2013

I thought Morey fined because they (morey and i believe someoen else) talked about Dwight during the moratorium, which ended today.

 

They don't let people in for press conferences. Howard will come out and greet fans outside after the press conference. How are the press supposed to ask questions with a couple hundred people screaming?

 

I thought they would have something similar to the Tmac presser

 

I saw the video of that and I looked like a disaster. The crowd interrupting Les and all.

 

They probably don't want to have to worry about people being inside for liability concerns. Someone overly excited is bound to push, slip, fall etc.

 

We tried interrupt him right before he began to laugh. There were kids there, we did it to spare the kids.

 

I guess i was thinking of something else....i remember fans being inside for Harden's, i think it was.

You'd think they could still let fans into the main floor and have the rally there, but hold the press conference where they normally do or on the practice court. You've got fans going crazy over the biggest player acquisition in a very long time, bigger than tmac's IMO. This is an established star, not a draft pick, aged vet, or young player still neededing to develop. They are missing out on a great opportunity to get a ton of fans inside and excited over the season..

I also think the media has a lot to do with not having people inside.

What happens when some stupid ESPN reporter asks Howard why he chose Houston over the Great Lakers tradition? The boos will start a riot.

I have no problem with this. Howard will speak to Fans outside with Dream and Yao.

 

Relax dude they're doing alot of construction in the Toyota center so due to space restrictions and to avoid an accident that could lead to a lawsuit, they're doing a small media only press conference and then the fan rally after

 

Man that sucks I really wanted to pick up a Dwight Rockets jersey today before I leave for vacation

 

Any word on what time the press conference will be Clutch?

 

I'm unfamiliar with the process...is he signing today and having the press conference Saturday or does everything happen Saturday? Anxious for some official D12 Rockets items to be available.

I can understand that, but i still think it's a bad idea. They're going to limit the number of people that'll attend by having it outside, especially if it's in the afternoon.

 

You're right its hot as balls out here by 8 am. Unless the rally is at 6pm its gonna be pretty torturous out there
