Is Dmo the black Rashard Lewis? literally none of these comparisons make the slightest sense, not even the Parsons Turkeyglu one.

Lets not forget Orlando media/ESPN will turn his lemon quotes into lemonade. If it was McGrady who wanted his #1 retired in Houston, ESPN wouldn't report it but, this is Dwight. They are going to try and tear him down every chance they get. Meaningful games can't get here soon enough, we need him focused on basketball and not who likes him or doesn't like him.

According to all the love for Beverley on CF, the Rockets should have retired #12 and not let Dwight wear it .

Move on Dwight, just move on.

The media are just chomping at the bits for anything to get more people to turn on D12...

That quote did not say he was upset that the team made the decision to not reture his jersey. He said he was upset to see someone else wear 12. Has it occurred to anyone that he meant something else? People are putting words in his mouth. He likely could have meant he was upset that he didn't win a championship and earn a jersey retirement/extend his legacy there.

I agree, Dwight didn't do enough to merit having his jersey retired, even disregarding his exit from Orlando.

It's funny, though. There was a poll here that said 85% of fans wanted Yao's jersey retired, and he didn't do nearly as much for Houston as Dwight did for Orlando. Yao only got out of the first round once, and he held the Rockets hostage far more than Dwight did. The only difference is he didn't do it on purpose.

No matter how he left, there is no question Dwight Howard had the biggest contribution to that franchise out of anyone (yes, including Shaq, remember he was only there for four seasons). Dwight Howard leads the franchise by a HUGE margin in win shares and playoff win shares and got to the NBA Finals.

Dwight saved the franchise but they weren't able to surround him with enough talent to get back to the finals. A washed up Vince Carter? Turkoglu after he got a fat contract and became lazy? Washed up Gilbert Arenas? Hard not to want to leave.

Anthony Johnson? I seriously do not know who Anthony Johnson is. Safe to say Dwight doesn't know his teammates yet. More preseason minutes for you!

Courtney Lee was more of a defense guy. Hedo Turkoglu was way more of a playmaker than Parsons (and really good at that time).

Not sure if serious... Dwight did more for that franchise than anyone since Shaq and has certainly done more for the Magic than Rockets player has for the Rockets in the last decade pretty much. He led that team to the finals, granted in a much weaker East. What has Franchise, Yao, and T-Mac ever accomplished for the Rockets in comparison? Same with Harden, though Harden can be largely credited in helping bring in Dwight.

All time leader in points and boards in team history and took them to the finals.

T-Mac actually made the Magic great.... after he left.

The only reason they got the #1 pick is that Tmac was on team with the crap record. Then he got his wish and got traded away, while the Magic rebuilt.
