Most immature and r****ded player ? He wants offense ran thru him, but has no post moves. Can't shoot a lick. I mean he is just big bully who can't bully much anymore, so then he tries to bully his own team mates, crack some unfunny jokes and etc. He just can't seem to mature even in his 30's.
This is actually the DREAM lineup Harden Haters have been looking for!. No Milkhair! No ball hoggin, iso dribblin, strip clubber!!
I love the yearly reminders on the fact that there were actually people here on clutchfans ready to cut bait with Harden and keep Dwight during that terrible year. It was so obvious the problem was Dwight.
Dwight is the Center Version of Melo He really thinks he is better than he is at this point If he accepted his limitations he could get another decent contract Rocket River
Ryno/Melo might be a comparable trade. OKC would be taking on longer salary, but reduce their 2018-2019 luxury tax bill. Could be relevant if PG13 re-signs, and they're concerned about MeloDrama next year.
I think Toronto or Milwaukee should make a run at him at the Trade Deadline Maybe even Detroit Rocket River
When Jeremy Lin was traded to the Lakers, he developed some P&R chemistry with Ed Davis. They asked Lin what he liked about Davis, and he said, "I can run the pick and roll ten times, and not give him the ball ten times, and he doesn't complain about it". So I'm not too optimistic about this reunion of Lin & Dwight, unless Dwight has learned not to gripe about touches.
Me and my buddies have this meme of Dwight we call Dwert Herwerd. It's a morphed up face of Dwight originally in a Rockets uniform, but when he left for Atlanta we lazily cropped a Hawks jersey over it. Then, a Charlotte jersey and now a Brooklyn jersey. Soon all 29 other jerseys will be cropped over the Rockets jersey. It's funnier than your favorite inside jokes.
Dwight is the laziest in shape person ive ever seen. That dude only plays hard when we wants to. If he is not getting the ball he won't run hard down the court. I was so happy when we were getting him and even more happy to see him leave two seasons later. It's a shame, he could have had the Clint roll in our offense and still be relevant.
meh, he wasn't a good dancer to begin with, got schooled by shack. shoutout to @Roscoe Arbuckle for inventing the word meh.
Weren’t there rumors last year about Dwight possibly coming back to Houston? I could’ve sworn it was hinted at by one of our trusted insiders.
Report: Hornets' locker room hated Dwight Howard Darryn Albert, Larry Brown Sports Stop us if you have heard this one before, but Dwight Howard’s departure was evidently precipitated by some chemistry issues with his teammates. Speaking Wednesday on SiriusXM NBA Radio, retired former Charlotte player and current basketball analyst Brendan Haywood spoke on Howard, who was traded to the Brooklyn Nets for Timofey Mozgov. Haywood revealed that the ex-All-Star center was not exactly well-liked in the Hornets’ locker room. “The locker room hated Dwight Howard,” said Haywood. “I’m not sure if Charlotte is rebuilding or if they’re just trying to get Dwight Howard out of there, but it was clear the locker room did not like Dwight Howard." “It’s simply because of how he goes about his business day-to-day in that locker room,” Haywood added. “Now he’s not the guy going around slapping people in the face. But [he’s] hard to deal with, doesn’t accept responsibility, cries a lot, has bad tendencies, awful body language. So all these things contributed to why he was shipped out of Charlotte … People I talked to behind the scenes, guys were just sick and tired of his act.” The 32-year-old Howard was only on the Hornets for one season and actually had strong averages of 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. He now heads to the Nets, who will be his sixth team in the last six years. Of course, Howard’s reputation as a bad teammate and a negative locker room presence has been proven time and again by now. Even former teammates from his last NBA stop don’t exactly have the best things to say about him. LINK: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nb...ated-dwight-howard/ar-AAyVpex?ocid=spartanntp
Top free Agent in 2013. How the mighty has fallen https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2013/6...-agents-ranking-list-dwight-howard-chris-paul THE SUPER DUO 1. Dwight Howard Howard had a rough 2012-13 season. He was still a legit All-Star and All-NBA player. He earned it. That's how valuable a player like Dwight has become: even in a disastrous season in which his coach can't properly use his talents, in which he seems to be at open war with his teammates, in which he's recovering from back surgery while dealing with a shoulder injury, he's still good enough for 17 points and a league-best 12.4 rebounds per game. In his worst season in years, he finished No. 6 in total rebound percentage, No. 10 in block rate and No. 5 in effective field goal percentage. UPDATE: Howard has agreed to a maximum contract with the Rockets for 4-years and $88 million. Here's Mike Prada's analysis of how the Rockets remade their roster to lure Dwight to Houston. #StayD12 rolls on The Lakers are pulling out all the stops because, if healthy and in the right situation, he's a legitimate MVP candidate (He's finished as high as No. 2 in the past; he was the runner-up to Derrick Rose in 2011) and only one other 2013 free agent can say that. Because Howard can be elite at his critical position on both ends, he's the best free agent available. The fact that he might switch teams is a huge, huge deal. 2. Chris Paul You almost got a cop-out with Dwight being deemed 1a and CP3 coming in at 1b. But Paul -- while an extraordinary player and someone who could definitely win an MVP award in the next few years depending on circumstances -- will fight chronic knee issues potentially for the rest of his career. In addition to that, Howard's position is tougher to fill with quality. There are plenty of really good centers these days, but they are all locked up for the foreseeable future. Excellent point guards seem to move around a bit more freely. Enough about that: with CP3, you're getting the best point guard in the game, a deft shooter and incredible passer who knows how to manage a game, gets teammates involved and be a leader on defense. He's also a little (err, a lot) dirty, has a permanent scowl and isn't known as a coach-killer. There is no record of him not getting along with teammates. There is no record of him half-arsing it. He's a gem.
Damn. We could have gotten IGGY instead of Dwight if Dwight picked GSW instead of us. Warriors wanted Dwight really bad. . Andre Iguodala Iguodala chose to become a free agent, as he's looking for a long-term deal. He should get one: he's one of the league's best defenders and most versatile offensive players. He was an especially nice fit for Denver in 2012-13, but it's unclear if the Nuggets will even keep that style given the dismissal of George Karl. (The presence of Ty Lawson, JaVale McGee and eventually Danilo Gallinari would suggest fast-paced remains the way to go, but we'll see.) Iguodala isn't much of a featured scorer -- consider him a bigger, less likely to shoot, defensively superior Tyreke Evans. UPDATE: Iguodala has agreed to a 4-year $48 million contract with the Warriors. Here's Prada's analysis of the move.
WARRIORS are so lucky!!! Almost traded Klay for Dwight Dwight Howard will meet the Golden State Warriors' brass on Monday and the team hopes to sell the free agent big man on the pieces it can provide around him, according to the Contra Costa Times' Marcus Thompson. If the Warriors can't sign Howard outright, though, they would be willing to try and work on a sign-and-trade deal with the Lakers. CBS Sports' Ken Berger reports there have not been any trade talks between the two teams, however, meaning any such thought is still in the works on Golden State's end. Golden State of Mind: More on the Warriors' offseason The Warriors could offer the Lakers a package of Andrew Bogut and either Klay Thompson or Harrison Barnes, according to Thompson, but Golden State also has options to keep its core together. A deal of Bogut and the expiring contracts of veteran swingman Richard Jefferson or big man Andris Biedrins would give Los Angeles much-needed cap relief a year down the road. The belief in the Warriors' camp is that they can provide the Lakers with the most options if Los Angeles wants any sort of return on Howard. Golden State obviously considers Stephen Curry one of the key selling points for Howard, but it remains to be seen whether the team can acquire Howard with Curry, Thompson and Barnes still on the roster. Curry is the least likely to be dealt as he is involved in the Warriors' recruitment of Howard.
