No way they resign Howard. This has nothing to do with Dwight Howard from BKN's perspective. They traded 2 good second-round picks for more caproom via an expiring, and history shows Nets won't attract anyone with that capspace. I know many fantasy-heads value Capspace over developing via the draft. That's fine, if BKN can cash in. But CHA isn't idiots for flipping Dwights contract into two BKN 2nd-rounders.
sure they'll be aggressive but nobody significant is going to want to play for brooklyn haha They'll probably end up just overpaying some 2/3rd tier FA that's in reality a mediocre player
SAS: This tells me he's irrelevant. He made the biggest mistake of his life leaving Orlando years ago. I like him as a person, good player, can still make a contribution but the Dwight I knew was Superman, a prolific big man, didn't mind not scoring but instead being DPOY & making his name that way. He had the world at his feet with the Magic. The world was his. He got caught up in his brand. ... In the end, every time I see him in a different location, I'm saddened. He was the man for that Magic organization. His desire to leave for a bigger market has compromised his career. MK: He hurt his back & hasn't been the same since. His game was predicated on athletic advantages. He was a great player in his prime. He never had a refined game. He was an athletic player. Once the back injury occurred, he was a less athletic player. He never developed skills. The league also changed. The injury changed him forever & league changed out from under his feet. SAS: He would have been cushioned from criticism & skepticism had he stayed in Orlando. Because he wanted more, he compromised all of that, now all alone on an island completely exposed.
Shame to see how far Dwight has fallen. He still can be the most impactful defensive player on the court every now and then (he cant do it every night anymore) and a decent offensive player if he is willing to get his points off of drop offs/lobs and offensive rebounds, but he never got it in his head how to adapt into a role player and be successful. Its a shame really I mean if he wants the money part - he just needs to look at Capela who basically did what the Rockets wanted Dwight to do and now is going to get a 9 figure contract this off season. Granted Capela's youth etc. and Capela is the better perimeter defender, but Dwight isn't useless on the court. The locker room problem just keep happening man his head just hasn't been on straight since the injury. Its unfortunate because I can see Dwight excelling in this stage of his career if he took a lessor role on a contender, but he wont. He is going to be on his 5th team in 5 years soon - Brooklyn isn't going to re-sign him and he will go elsewhere. Hope he finally gets it.
Aside from being unable to put his ego aside for the betterment of the team (and himself), Dwight is simply unlikable, and this has been as big a factor as any for his career going the way it has.
I love how charlotte GM Mitch Kupchak has traded Howard's bad contract for Mosgov's bad contract. Who signed Mosgov to that contract? Former LA Laker GM...Mitch Kupchack.
Nope it’s reported the players disliked him. Disliked in Orlando, Houston, Atlanta and now in Charlotte! It’s all to familiar trait of toxic waste that he brings.
The Hornets will receive the Nets' second-round pick (No. 45) in Thursday's NBA draft and a 2021 second-round pick, league sources said. Good? Meh, one pick ahead of Houston(46th) and unknown future 2nd round pick.
what’s that got to do with Dwight being a cancer? Were the lakers, Orlando, Houston and Atlanta Organizations toxic as well? Dwight is a cancerous player
