As someone stated earlier this is Jim is not Jerry. The Lakers are a train wreck right now and if Dwight stays Jim will make him the Engineer of this wreck and lay all blame on him. Because without an Engineer, then Jim will have to take the fall for this mess.

    Personally I am torn too.

    Pros of Dwight coming:
    He's a 2nd star
Another star to add to the drawing power of other stars

    Cons:
    I worry about Dwight's health.
I am not sure how he'd fit on this team. We desperately need a PF and I don't think you can just slap DH next to Asik and call it a day. (though I think the pieces are there to trade for hole fillers).

Pros of Dwight staying with the Lakers:
I would love to watch a busted up Kobe, another year older Lakers, MDA and a whining Dwight do another face plant so I can truly laugh out loud at the Lakers.

Well as much as I think Howard is full of drama, he is an incredible gifted player. I think it would help Jeremy Lin just as much as Harden to have Howard due to being able to set great PNRs. Jeremy Lin has been the most effective with PNR situations and since Asik sucks at holding the ball, PNRs havent' been done too much with the Rockets. I think Howard would be a great addition(just not for a max).

I think he is actually done with LA but is "torn" the most because of what another team change might do to his image. It's either stay with LA and not win a championship but be seen as somewhat loyal and make him stay a bit loved in LA or go to Houston, get flamed for it because he was about to get traded before to Houston and started the whole nightmare and is again not loyal etc.

He grew up a Warriors fan and is still based in Sacramento after years of covering the Kings.

Kobe isn't going to play next season? How do you figure that?

A version of Kobe chucking just as much but even harder to tolerate than this season after he comes back from a career ending injury at 34.

People can concede to Kobe getting his this season, and he will always end up getting his...but its harder to watch when he clearly hurts the team and isn't capable of what he used to.
