Pretty fair point. In the busy 82-games schedule, who has time to act in a movie?

DH12 could win championships in Houston, make movies and hangout in LALA land in the offseason. Best of both worlds.

Oh really? What endorsements did he get in LA this last year that he couldnt have had elsewhere?

Has Carmelo gotten more endorsements in NY than he did in Denver?

Yeah, endorsement money is directly related to winning and/or playing well...has nothing to do with location.

The only reason he stays in LA? Being too afraid to get criticized and possibly crucified for leaving such a huge franchise and city.

You'd actually think the one point Rudolph has hammered home on multiple times, to the point it seems to directly come from Dwight's camp, is there's no real financial benefit from staying in LA.

Endorsements come from winning and the taxes suck.

The ground has shifted from what other teams can offer Dwight to what the Lakers can offer Dwight to stay.

I see the only way Dwight stays in LA is that they replace D'Antoni with Phil Jackson. The likelihood of that happening at the moment is very minimal.

Jim Buss and Phil Jackson hate each other over the D'Antoni signing. Buss said D'Antoni is coming back 100% and let him hire his own staff. Jackson in an interview last weekend said he would not coach again and said there was no reason for Dwight to return to the Lakers.

So, a lot of animosity going on in Laker land. Maybe they can reconcile before July 1st, who knows, but chances are that Dwight is coming to Houston at the moment.

Phil Jackson doesn't want to coach, Phil Jackson wants to be Pat Riley 2

ie, I'm so friggin awesome some dude gave me their team with an ownership share to do with as i wish.

Which is what Seattle was going to do.

If Dwight stays and the team is crappier than this year because of Kobe's injury. Dwight will be crucified all the same... and be really miserable.

Dwight can't win either way so its a wash.

I think coming to Houston and winning will make him happy and make him forget about those stupid Laker fans. Only winning can solve Dwight's image problem, and the best chance for him to win is in Houston.

We share the same sentiments. Pretty sure Dwight's well aware of these factors as well. But the thought of "no star player has ever ditched the Lakers franchise in their prime" might be too much for him.

If he leaves, then it proves that he has finally decided to grow a pair instead of being the old Dwight who's mentally and emotionally weak when it comes to these sort of issues.

That article doesn't contain an actual quote at all. That and this is a win win situation for us. If we get Dwight, we are a very good team. Without him, we have the year of growth and a better team than last year.

It is impossible to lose this summer with Morey calling the shots. You know he won't get us a Matt Maloney or Kelvin Cato contract, so it's all good this summer.

(Please note that I was a fan of Cato at PF next to Yao. I'll not go down in history as a flip flopper. Even though none of you remember my Cato opinion anyway.)

He does have an image issue similar to LeBron's. Winning fixed LeBron. #SlapHandsWithTheBallBoyInAChoreographedManner

Amick is a pretty big laker homer.

Him saying Dwight is considering the Rockets is like the Iraqi information minister saying there are Americans in Baghdad.
