When did the "Hookem Horns Sign" become the Houston "H"? I have never heard of that before. Maybe Dwight has decided to finally go to college and is picking UT:grin:.

Are we sure he wasn't giving the world wide hand signal for heavy metal? His hand is facing the wrong way, but I still think he was throwing up the horns.

Dwight simply respects the Houston metal scene.

He's clearly throwing up the H for Houston. He knows what he's doing and how it will be perceived

As much hate as Howard gets, I can say this. Howard got to the finals with a bunch of turds. Kobe could barely make the playoffs without an all-star squad. All the Laker championship teams have been stacked in the front court.

That's why he's the best center in the NBA. He's only 27 as well.

I remember right before the trade deadline a few years back, when all those rumors arose that we were looking to aquire Amare from the Suns, he changed his profile pic on FB or Twitter or something to him throwing up the H.

After the deadline came and went he ended up staying but only because of that physical. I thought about this too when it happened but maybe was just showing his love for the city cause we were such a good host for the ASG festivites.

I dunno, maybe it's something more maybe not.

And at this point....I just want us to get Howard just to see how all these dudes completely trashing him will react.

My bold prediction is that they'll love adding Howard.

Dwight would stay in LA because he gets $30,000,000 more in guaranteed money and LA is the largest market in the NBA.

If Dwight wants to be a Rocket, I guess you have to take a deep breathe and sign him. He certainly looks like he is on a downward spiral but he has been hurt and is in a terrible system for him.

If you sign Dwight you can then fill the power forward hole easily by moving Asik for a power forward.

He might be my least favorite player(and sort of a douche) I would love to have, and the Rockets would have to trade for if he becomes available at the last second.

    No thanks.

Asik would never be able to guard a majority of the power forwards in the league just because he's too slow. Also...he wouldn't be able to stretch the court at all and would be very easy to defend, which would especially hurt us because there would be less room for Harden/Lin/etc. to drive.

I think he meant trade him for a power forward. Not play him at power forward.

Say you want about the dude, but this was the best use of the H-sign at an All-Star game... note the use of both hands, and the 3-D effect of using the front and back of the hand.

Incidentally, these were the best intros in recent history IMO. Note the 5-man horizontal body roll (ending with Yao), dramatic violins and Nash's hair...

Whoops. Yes I misread. Good catch.

He said "for a power forward", and my foolish self read "to power forward".

    *rolls eyes at himself*

Best hand sign ever. Two in the pink, one in the stink.
