I guess that I must retract some of my statements. Coach McHale managed the rotation and game time much better in tonight's game. Nobody played an extended stretch. So they have the energy to finish strong at the end of the game. Credit to him. It shows that he can learn as well.

Now, pls. 1) make JH stop ISO and play defense, 2) manage the rotation and time like tonight's game, 3) design some effective go-to plays at the end of the game. My early Christmas wishes

Agreed. I was much happier with the rotation minutes.

None of them were excessively over played, or put in for periods that were way too short. You could see it in the 4th quarter that our guys still had a reasonable level of energy.

Also noticed much better use of Asik off the bench.

Thank you Dwight for speaking up. Much better rotations in the Minny game tonight.

But this without the elephant in the room... Harden. If McHale can get Harden's minutes down to around 30-35 and still maintain good rotations like tonight, we are one step further along to becoming a good team.

It's possible Dwight has finally matured and really wants to win a championship. His defense is still there and his post game and FTs have improved slowly. He's not afraid to call out what he thinks will lead to more team wins (ie. give up minutes on the floor (and your own stats) so that others can play, trust your teammates, etc.) He has also been vocal about praising his teammates when they play well. I'm kinda surprised but he might be the vocal leader the Rockets need.
