having the same up and coming young fast pace team that fought with okc in the 1st round, plus $22mill or $30mill if morey wanted to trade lin that off season could've been a good option.

    [rQUOTEr]Dr. Lowe on Dwight:

"The most important thing for Dwight is his pain is gone. That's more important than what the MRI is going to show me in 4 weeks. As long as we're seeing a combination of bone bruise gone away, symptoms being better then that's when we'll start the transition back to the court. What makes this heal is essentially rest.

I would certainly expect him before the playoffs...I hope we have quite a few games before the playoffs. I really expect him to recover and play again this season. [/rQUOTEr]

Those tweets were very encouraging, thanks for sharing...We're just gonna have to wait and see how he looks when he gets back on the court...I'm praying for the big fella!

The guy has arthritis. Team Doctors and Conditioning coach has nothing to do with it.

    Get a clue

Berman's quotes are encouraging, but you know they have a PR spin to them, coming from the team doctor.

I don't understand why they didn't lead previous reports with "There's nothing structurally wrong with his knee." There's no way they just concluded that today. Does any good come from withholding that information? Or did I miss a previous quote?

Our staff has changed over the last few years. I'm more inclined to believe there's something wrong with the pressure placed on them by the FO or players.

So when Morey was trying to get in the aborted Brook Lopez sweepstakes a couple of weeks ago, that makes a whole lot more sense.

It also makes sense to hush the knee. If you had a chance to get a good deal, once other GM's see the bad position you are in, that's all gone. So making this public makes me think the Rockets have exhausted plausible options for a fix or patch for the team at center before the deadline.

Not only the PR spin. From team's perspective, DH is paid a lot of money to play. So you want him to play when there is nothing wrong with the structure of the knee. I think that's why DH wanted to have a second opinion on his own. Looks like that was indeed the case. The comments have to be put in that context.
