See this is the type of optimism we need!

Dwight didn't get an injection guys! He just went back to Orlando to take back his car from his brother so he would stop getting tickets for running red lights. Gonna take a month.

A guy who averaged 16/11 while his injury is bone to bone is worth keeping .meanwhile , DM sign a C and waive Doresy who's contract is untradable just like Parson

f that, I always think worst case scenario when it comes to our stars now, it makes the eventual anouncement of worse news less painful

I still remember we were hopeful Yao Ming would come back from that broken foot

Why include all these guys who were over 35? You should expect that those kind of guys to get hurt and/or retire. In Dikembe's case, it was a miracle he played as long as he did.

I am not blaming the Rockets for the injuries of players, just pointing out that a lot of Rockets (legends, promising young players, veterans) have had devastating injuries so it's no small wonder that people overreact to news.

It is factual that those players were injured to the point where they couldn't properly play while wearing the Rockets uniform. Whether or not it was expected or whether they were old does not matter. Hakeem's irregular heartbeat did not make it less devastating when it happened. Barkley going down in the Sixers game (ironic if you think about it) still sucked regardless of age and past injuries. Yao we all expected would injure his foot repeatedly, but it still really hurt when it happened again and again. We can talk about Deke being old, but most of us still secretly believed he would last forever. Injuries suck and us Rockets fans have seen A TON OF THEM. This is the point I was trying to make.

About time these teenagers return the favor. Dwight has been injecting them for years.

All of those tweets still fail to connect the dots from pre season until now. Was it just one major bruise this whole time? Did he even strain his knee in Nov or was that the bruise still? If it takes 4 weeks of rest to see changes in an MRI, why did they sit him for only 3 weeks in Nov/Dec.? You'd think they wait that extra week to make sure.

And they also don't address his immediate decline in play in January. If it was all pain-based, then he wasn't exactly playing through it, so letting him continue to do so would have been a terrible idea.

Overreact much? What has the FO done wrong here? They can't feel Dwight's pain for him, it's up to him to let them know when he can and cannot play. Who is to say he did or didn't tell the FO about his issues? I don't see how this at all is the FO's fault....

Sounds better than before. Hopefully, we are getting accurate information. Anyway, we still need a backup center. Get er done Morey.

Not sure how to feel. We gain offence without him but lose largely on defense without him.

Didn't the team doctor say positive things about Yao's outlook after foot surgeries back in the days, too?

It is just common sense to have Dwight call it quits for this season. If he can come back strong next season we might even win it all. We must try to avoid the Amare situation of we will have a real mess. Dwight reinjuring himself just to win a series or two this year is not worth it.

We need a backup center anyway... we need to go get one and give him starter minutes until this resolves... or get a backup center and let DMo start at center.... and kick Joey Dorsey to the curb already....
