Does anyone know the percentages of Dwights post-ups when he finishes with the left hand vs. the right hand? He's naturally a lefty but shoots more with his right. However, his left handed hooks in the paint look a lot smoother and seem to go in more often. Would love to know.
He's right, you know ^ BTW Anybody notice Howard cant move anybody for **** on the block? Howard has some seriously skinny legs, when anybody who isn't a wing, or a anorexic big look like brick walls against Howard when he try's to back down. Howard has a huge upper body but he can't use it when backing down or else its a foul, the only way he can score is by going around players and he just doesn't have the ball control to do that most of the time.
i thought the message for this post was going to be: "make my eyes bleed." we watched dmo post-ups this season and now we have to watch his abomination of a post game. put him in advantageous positions, pick and rolls, put backs, etc. he needs to be strong on defense.
Worst half of the playoffs for Dwight, maybe the whole season? Hopefully that's an aberration, but he absolutely killed our lead. Murdered it.
yes: left hand = turn overs right hand = turn overs + chance of offensive foul oh and when he actually gets off a shot it sometimes goes in, and sometimes bounces off the backboard without touching any rim.
Dwight should never post up. Here's why: 1. If he gets fouled it's two missed free throws 2. Hes shooting under 50% at free throws 3. When the double comes he does not pass to the open person 4. He turns the ball over when a wing defender swipes at the ball due to poor ball handling 5. If he dares to shoot past 10 feet it's an automatic brick 6. If he shoots the ball we won't get any offensive board 7. He sets the best screens out of our big men 8. He is our best offensive rebounder 9. He gets called for offensive fouls when trying to get position 10. He gets called for offensive fouls when backing down smaller opponents due to his brute force 11. His post ups take the entire team out of rhythm I could come up with more but that is all for now
Dwight was bad even before the injury on offense but played well on defense. Force feeding Dwight when he is not on is just stupid. After the injury he was back to looking like a liability like he was earlier in the regular season.
yes maybe his left hook is smoother, but i agree along with most people that his post up game hurts us in the big picture. It terribly get us off our rhythm, and on a team like the Warriors we'll have to be fast paced to have a shot. Not to mention even feeding him the ball is a miracle, considering he can never hold onto it in the paint
I blame Hakeem. No more lessons, leave dwight alone. But seriously Dwight post ups are a no in this series especially if the refs want call fouls.
dwight best at put back, PNR . post move aint his thing. just doesnt have the touch around the basket. and hes not flexable as Hakeem
