Honestly this is exactly what I expected from him, which is why I was so excited to get him here. If his teammates can give him some help, this series STILL isn't over.

    A+

Hard to overcome consistent 4th quarter ineptitude from teammates and coaches.

He does not deserve any criticism for his play in the playoffs. Played amazing despite the calls that were going against him from the refs.

The national media will still get get on him though

He would be so dominant if he could only make his free throws more consistently...even if only at a 70% clip similar to what Hakeem did. Hakeem always made his free throws when they needed to be made in playoff games. With Dwight, he is just as likely to miss both as he is to make one or both. You just never know what you will get from him from the FT line. I also think Hakeem helped Howard be better this season...and there is still room for improvement even if the FTs don't improve.

Howard was awesome, worth every penny. Harden and McHale lost it for us.

I just hope we don;t see any star tantrums. Keep it in the locker room, make the necessary adjustments, and move forward with an eye on winning it all next season.

    man he did everything,

play defense on lamarcus , score, hit free throws, get boards

all while getting fouled and hacked like crazy

    also the leadership was there:

his encouragement of Lin after that horrible game 4 worked

Build around Dwight, Harden is not a leader.

He really played as great as he should have but at the same time he exceeded my expectations. Didn't think he would dominate so much on offense and the free throw shooting - clutch. Just shut up you haters.

He really stepped up in the playoffs, a tad better than I expected.

My only complaint, like others have mentioned, are the boneheaded fouls. He needs to layoff because he was benched due to foul trouble too much. Just like today's game, he was on the bench for an extended amount of time in the 3rd due to fouls. Those little things are the difference between winning and losing.

Freaking MVP of the team. When they put up his stats for the series during the game, I just shook my head. What a monster!

The guy is a monster on both ends of the floor, he was the only consistent player for this series, he brought it every single game

    Just keeping it real.
