While the sprain can be a lot worse that a "bruise", aren't some bruises potentially worse? For example, a bone bruise? My worry was it was like the "bone on bone" injury he had (has?) in the other knee. Tell the big guy to rub spit or dirt on it, wrap it tight with duct tape, and get back out there...
Not a slightly single chance? Didn't look like it yesterday when Dwight sat out most of the game and the Rockets barely lost.
Given how explosive of a player he is when he's healthy, I don't know how advisable going out there on a sprained knee would be. Microtears in the ligament can turn into something much worse even on something as a simple rebound or alley-oop. Think of Derrick Rose's injury.....non-contact, exploding off the ground, and the ligament just popped. I think sitting out tomorrow's game seems like the best for all parties involved. We'll need him near 100% for games 3 and 4.
1st degree minor, stretched ligament, but stable 2nd partial tear 3rd complete tear, unstable joint I'm guessing dwight has a 1st degree
Best to rest him tonight and hope the Rockets can squeak one out. Don't want him playing on a sprain again so soon. Not even sure if he will be back tbh.
A typical knee sprain is a 4-6 week injury. A tweak that is labelled as a sprain could be very minor and not prevent him from playing. I'm holding out hope.
Players plain on a sprain all the time and sometimes they do not. All we know is that they did not find any structural damage which is what is important. He is questionable because they just do not know how it will respond when he suits up and tries to play. He still has a whole 24 hours to improve. I don't think this is in anyway terrible news.
Thanx. 1st degree sprain then. Does it require rest for sure or it depends on the player and how it feels to him? Can someone play on it?
Looking forward to Super Saiyan Harden tomorrow. If Dwight is able to go I'd consider it a pleasant surprise.
If McHale does not play Capela at least for 30 mins, and go small ball against the Warriors, I would be beyond incensed....

why are the Warriors so ****ing lucky? every team going against them suffers major injury problems while all they have to deal with is their back up center being out? argh..........
If playing in pain and a 1st degree sprain against physical players like Bogut and Green can deteriorate the issue to say 2nd degree sprain, I hope then he sits the next one out and go as healthy as possible at game 3 on homecourt. If the doctors believe that the condition can't get worse by playing then if he feels better tomorrow he can be on minute restriction and play 15-20 minutes.
