He's gotten more post touches than his efficiency has warranted.

Like anyone else, he has to prove to his teammates that he's a dependable player with the ball in the post. He always seems so rushed and unbalanced on his post moves. Maybe he needs to work more with CD on those jump hooks?

The team will get better at finding him with good post position as the season progresses. People forget how hard it is to get a post player the ball in position to score. This is especially true today with the way defenses are allowed to cover the post. I wouldn't fret over it just yet.

Howard is underutilized at the offensive end. But his needs to improve his free throws and reduce his turnover. With the Dream and McHale, I'm not that concerned in the long run.

It will come along. His offense definitely will be a great part of the Rockets in the playoffs when game slows down.

It's a work in progress, and we are 3-0.

There are ways to get him the ball. Posting up is not a good one. They went away from it in the second half tonight and the offense start clicking again.

Its the 3rd game of the season, he will get his touches.
The most important thing is that we're winning, so w/e we're doing is working for us.

No, not wait for the rebound. Roll to the basket.

Honestly, he's kind of an offensive liability right now. Everytime he gets the ball tries to posts up (same move everytime), he'll turn it over lol. I'm sure he'll get better as the season goes on as he is under the tutelage of McHale after all.

Dwight is not Yao. To Yao, the problem is how to get him the ball, and then let Yao lead the offense. Instead, to Dwight, he is supposed to do the PnR and get himself the deep position in the paint or the position he is comfortable with. Dwight is who he is. Deal with it

The only offense Howard should be involved is PnR.

    A lot of PnRs.

His post moves is no better than a high school player. Amazing he has been playing in NBA for 10 years. So I guess it will never change.

PnR and PnR to death. Kinda like how Suns used Amare. But even Amare developed a nice mid-range jumper. SMH. How come Howard hasn't developed any offense skills over these many years?

Dream's Deadly Combo: Lin and Dwight PnR. Work at it in the practice guys.

He should let the young fellows shoot and get the offensive rebounds! That's more important than his post-ups which really don't work.

If he gets all the rebounds there will be a great chance to get a ring!

I don't mind feeding the ball if he has position right under the basket....but to just feed him the ball 10 feet away from the basket and all of our other players sit and watch him is just plain dumb.

As others have mentioned he is best when utilized during the PnR. Nuff said.

Its ridculous that Dwight doesn't touch the more.
Lin/Harden and the rest of the team don't even know how to throw a simple entry pass to the post.... Its kinda pathetic

they do know to to throw an entry pass to the post. It's just that Howard
s post game sucks. PnR more and he will get the ball.

This isn't getting enough attention. The rest of the team does not know how to pass to Dwight in the post. There's so many times he has to come out of his position to get the pass or it gets picked off.

Dwight in the post might be ugly, but it is some what effective. It's not a complete disaster like Omer. At the very least, Dwight will draw the double team and he's also a good passer. I think we're still working Dwight into the system. Let's see how things are mid season.
