Dwight Howard brought loaded gun to airport

Love Dwight and all, but my God, how stupid do you have to be to bring a loaded gun to an airport?

 

We've asked Dwight to improve his shooting for two years now, and he's finally showing us that he's ready to take his shooting to new heights.

One of my ex's was at Hobby Airport, pre-9/11 (like 1991), made the very same mistake, got arrested for the very same thing, and got convicted, with no priors. Probation and rather large fine for her. That's not a very good thing to have on your record. "Tried to get a loaded gun through airport security."

I've left my knife in my bag at the airport by accident at least twice.

But I don't pack my gun in a bag or anything like that...it's either on me or in my car. If I ever did I could totally see myself doing something stupid like that if I traveled enough.

Look guys Dwight is an awesome player but it seems that he is just freaking stupid, deal with it!! He is not the first and wont be the last extremely talented player to have one single functioning neuron in his head.

There is a story about this brazilian soccer legend called Garrincha. Story goes that Garrincha was soooo unbelievably stupid that during the 1958 FIFA world cup held in Sweden Garrincha bought a Radio (remember those?) and one member of the brazilian delegation convinced Garrincha to gift him the radio because "everything it played was in swedish and it wouldn't work in Portuguese in Brazil" and poor gullible Garrincha believed it and gave him the thing. There are many other stories about his poor judgement but still despite of this Garrincha is widely considered to be one of the best soccer players to ever live.

 

it was very stupid and alarmingly reckless of him not to know where he left his gun. Thankfully it happened in Texas.
