Dwight Howard Aware That Houston Has Become More Attractive

    I think people are focusing too much on "developing" Dwight. He's more or less past development stage. That's not to say he can't improve, but that's not about finding that one post-game teacher who all of a sudden gets through... it's just Dwight working on various skills in the offseason.

    McHale as a great fit is principally about 2 things. One, the style. Dwight would thrive in our fast paced, pick and roll system, both with regards to pick and rolls, put backs, dribble penetration dishes... AND because we do occasionally need someone other than Harden (and occasionally Lin) capable of creating halfcourt offense. And that's Dwight. Dwight shouldn't be a half-court option like Hakeem or Shaq were, but he needs some touches.

    Second, it's about McHale's personality, which you note, can be snarky but also GENERALLY seems to be player friendly.
