Article related to OP's tweet... http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--dwight-howard-to-hire-shaq-s-agent-224856420.html After years of feuding, Houston Rockets star Dwight Howard and future Hall of Fame center Shaquille O’Neal are partnering. Howard plans to hire O’Neal’s agent, Perry Rogers, for his new representation, multiple sources told The Vertical. Rogers could file official paperwork with the National Basketball Players Association as soon as Friday, sources said. O’Neal, a longtime public nemesis of Howard’s, had extensive conversations with the Houston center and sold him on the marketing of “Superman” and the representation of Rogers, sources said. The potential of marketing Howard and O’Neal in advertisements together played a role, too, sources said. Howard and O’Neal progressed in the NBA with the same moniker of “Superman” – for which Shaq has publicly mocked Howard – and they both left the Orlando Magic for the Los Angeles Lakers in the middle of their careers. In his 12th NBA season, Howard, 30, has averaged 14.7 points and 12 rebounds in 57 games. The Rockets discussed trades involving Howard before the trade deadline, but ultimately kept him. Howard has an opt-out clause in his contract for next season. After an illustrious 19-year NBA career that ended in 2011, O’Neal was nominated to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Sept. 9.
If Dwight went to college, he would have went to LSU. If he could have a do-over, he'd wear #32, not #12. Dwight will have stops in Miami, Phoenix, Cleveland & Boston to end his career. Following Shaq's foot every step of the way.
So, he's picking Rogers to roll with Shaq vs picking Pelinka to roll with Harden. Doesn't want to play with Harden, looks like. Or did Harden tell Pelinka to ice out Howard. There's got to be rotten agendas and conspiracies here somewhere.

Listen. I get this is a good move for Dwight. However I just don't get the Shaq angle and what's in it for him. Shaq has been someone who has continually and in a lot of cases unnecessarily hung the biggest turd on Dwight for years. It's like Shaq is jealous when he has no reason to be. But Shaq recommended him to Dwight? OK maybe Shaq makes a buck out of this (only my assumption), but does that mean Shaq will now let go all of the hatred and criticism?
From the article: ------------- "but for right now I think this is somebody [Rogers] who can really help me grow on the business side and on the court." -- Howard ------------- That's a weird thing to say about an agent. "He can help me grow on the court." btw: The Shaq quotes are really annoying. Basically, "I give him **** on TNT to make him mad, so he get to the next level." Shaq thinks too much of himself.
How are Shaq and Howard going to get a bunch of ads when neither are even relevant anymore? Shaq has been retired for so long, and Howard is like a 5th option on a fairly sh#tty team. Seems a bit delusional. Maybe Shaq and Howard might get a spot for Mattress Mac or whatever.
Howard back or not, our great GM should focus on getting another Center this offseason that can complement Harden and grow with him..
He should also hire the ghost of Johnny Cochran to defend him on this board when he finally bails on the Rockets this summer and the GARM goes up in flames.
Shaq is probably getting a cut out of this. Now you will hear shaq say nothing but good things about dwight on tnt.
"Howard didn't suck. It was all the Rockets and James Harden incurring the wrath of BasedGod." --Shaq once Dwight leaves us.
