Hey don't forget the interview with McHale saying Howard wasn't the problem.

I'll take anything that guy says about basketball with a grain of salt.

Long gone are the days he was a player.

He knows very little about the game of basketball today.

As seen throughout his years as a head coach and general manager.

    Keep clutching at those straws.

Unless his agent and the Rockets agree on a new deal before July 1 and unless Dwight overrides his agent he's going to opt in. They'll have to come to a contract agreement before July 1 for Dwight's agent to recommend Dwight not to opt in.

Both are to blame. They couldn't set aside their differences for the betterment of the team. Even after numerous players only meetings. But the majority of the blame goes to Morey imo. Reason being he created the rift raft. You don't tell your 20 million dollar player we won't be given you your touches. And since you did tell him that BS you should've traded him at the deadline.

I've heard a lot of knowledgeable sports heads speak highly of McHale's knowledge of the game.

Why would anyone take what he said with a grain of salt. He was speaking factual about what was going on behind the scenes. Remember he had an up and close view. Unlike us who draw up all types of hypothetical and speculations.

He wasn't a great coach no doubt but it's crazy that he have a better record than the many other Rockets coaches.

Stop twisting the facts dude. Dwight created the rift going to the gm and asking for more touches
Howard: "I felt like my role was being reduced. I went to [Rockets general manager] Daryl [Morey] and said, 'I want to be more involved.
when he clearly shouldn't since he sucks and since he's already the player with more post touches around.

And he also lied about the process.
Daryl said, 'No, we don't want you to be.

Just mark this in your mind, cause i'm really tired about LOFs, HOFs and all this bs.

If you are the Rockets gm you're goin to do what's best for the Houston Rockets, not for a 30 years old declining crybaby. And if you're a fan, you should do the same.

The rift raft started way before Howard asked for more touches. Get it together Ole buddy or girl.

According to Jet, he told him his touches wouldn't come via post ups. You think that's wrong?

Yep, it started when he asked for more touches in Orlando leading to the sacking of Stan.

then it went on asking for more touches in LA leading to the sacking of D'Antoni.

    then...

Great post. You are now arguing with delusionals. Time to retreat.

No I don't think that was wrong. But wasn't it strange to you (because I know you not only watch the games on TV but attends a lot of games) that we wouldn't even pass the ball to Dwight when he had his man pent underneath the rim.

And are you considering the touches they give him at the top of the 3 point line. Lol

You're going off the deep end. That has no relevancy to what went on here in Houston.

Next year the cap increases by another 15+ mill too, which means possibly bigger contract for Howard depending on how he plays.

Do you expect Howard to opt in and be traded or for the Rockets to keep him?

Opting in and being traded is a possibility but a slim one at this point. No team is going to give value for Howard without knowing he wants to be there and either getting him to agree to a reasonable extension if he opts in. And if they're going to do that then why not just sign him outright by telling his agent you will sign him to the same money as an extension without giving up assets?

See that's the problem. Dwight's agent can't get anybody to commit to a big dollar deal. Everybody is low-balling him. That's why he's advising Dwight to opt in.

Any other trade scenario where the Rockets peddle him away without his consent will involve us taking back long term money. For instance, Phoenix will gladly take Dwight on a one year $23 million deal if we'll take back Knight and Chandler. That's like $26 million dropped on our cap for the next 3 seasons. We can't do that. We won't be good enough to compete for a title and we won't have room in free agency and nobody will want Knight and Chandler a year from now.

Morey and MDA had better be serious about welcoming him back if he opts in. Otherwise this team could become the whole Barnum & Bailey circus unto itself.

If I was Morey I would text Dwight and say "Are you watching the finals?" Then I would ask: "How many times are you seeing Bogut, Mozgov, Green, and Thompson, Ezeli, Speights and Love posting up?"
The I would make a statement: The game has changed, most winning teams don't post big men anymore. Adapt or Retire.

How not? He went to Morey asking the same thing he did in Orlando and in LA. He's not willing to adjust his role to make his team (and so himself) better, and this leads him to play with no energy, no interest hurting his team...how this is not relevant?

Bogut has always been a better post player than Dwight, but you can see how he adapted his game to make the Warriors a better team, that's the difference between a guy which plays to win/for his team and Howard.

He still was the player with most post touches.

It's true that sometimes they didn't pass him the ball when he was really close to the basket, but maybe there's a reason for that...

When did he go to Morey? Was it at the beginning of the season or towards the end?

Bogut has never been a better anything than Dwight. You're really showing your hate for the dude with that comment. Bwhahaha

Again it's wasn't just Howard. It was every freaking player under performing this past season.

Yep, and i guess you're the one using solid arguments...? Smh...

Anyway we didn't know when he went to Morey, but overall i don't think it matters, this is a pattern by Dwight at this point. This is a fact, the bold part is your HOF opinion.

    Bwhahaha
