My frat brother (John) ran into Dwight pimping Htown gear. John just moved to Htown 2 DAYS AGO and this was his welcome at the mall!

BTW Artest is saying that to scare teams from claiming him off amnesty waivers. He wants to control his own destiny.

 

Was Lin being shopped to clear salary or just cause he didn't play up to internal expectations or some other reason?

Artest was most likely just joking. He's been making amnesty jokes on twitter a lot over the last few days. He also may be threatening retirement to discourage teams with cap space from claiming him off amnesty. He wants to choose where he goes. Chauncey Billups did the same thing when he was amnestied a couple years ago.

 

I'd be shocked to see Lin traded anytime soon. I think they believe he will still develop and can play like he did at his peak last season.

If I were McHale, Beverly and Asik would come in together first off the bench...then rest Harden to start the 2nd with Lin/DH pick-and-roll being the go-to set.

 

That's how I feel as well. Don't want to give up on him so soon. Excited to see if he has the drive to prove the doubters wrong.
