Yes, Dwight didn't appear to care much. Lose a game? Water off the duck's back, la-la-la. He came across as a giant man-baby, and it rubbed a lot of players the wrong way. I remember he tried to give Harden a big bro-hug around the shoulders, standing behind him, and Harden shrugged him off hard, never looking at him. If Dwight had only been cool with the fact the league changed, and he could have racked up points and boards alongside Harden. Nope. 'T'weren't meant to be.
i'd have to agree. i like capela and all but howard (minus the back to basket style of play) was the center that would have fit in our current scheme. too bad pride got in the way. he should join melo on the island o' delusions of grandeur
Yeah, if dwight didn't tear his mcl from Smith rolling into his knee... That series definitely would have been a lot better.
Damn, I didn't think there was that much bad blood. Wow. Smh Dwight. This dude got frozen out by everyone on the team, not just Harden come on man.
Thing is . . . he is like Melo . . . . . IF he would be humble .. . he would be incredible If he was humble and willing to come here for vet minimum He would be the best backup at center . .. IMMEDIATELY F*CK YEA I'd take him but I double he could be that Rocket River
Dwight (a n.1 draft pick) was so much better than Capela (a 26th pick) that he made that team literally explode, can't believe there's still people who would take him back. He actually got frozen out by the entire league at this point...nobody took Dwight seriously even when he was in his prime, even cupcake Durant and LaMarcus Softridge called him p***y during a game...
Dwight could have been an all-star but decided he wanted to be like Shaq when he could have been one of the best PnR players the league has seen. Imagine all those post ups going back into Harden's hands...
I wonder what prize he'll win when he ends up on the Miami Heat roster so he can complete the Southeast Division corner of the NBA Monopoly board.
That wasn't serial and, if it was, then it was in the context of getting Dwight off the Rockets. I don't buy that James was responsible for getting Dwight off the team. And, I don't think Dwight really does, either. Management saw the light.
Dwight Howard and Tracy McGrady need a sitcom together where they blame everyone else for their short comings. I don't know a single teammate that has come out and said they respected Dwight Howard. Not one. Short or substance abuse or prison, I cannot think of two players that got less from their God given ability than T-Mac and Howard.
I hope Harden tried to get Howard off the Rockets.... I have more respect for Harden as a leader if he DID try to get Dwight off the team. Dwight went from being a huge plus, to a negative because he would not evolve with his role.
