Unbelievable performance. It just makes me sick to think a monster year of his prime is going to end up being wasted because his teammates are all bums and underachievers.
When you have possession of the ball with the score tied and only seconds left in the game, the worst thing you can pretty much do is turn the ball over. Not even getting a shot off is a better result (obviously). That said, I like Salmons' game. He needs to quickly forget about that play and help the Bulls make the playoffs.
Did anybody see Luther Head getting all pumped up on the sidelines? Good for him. I hope things work out in Miami.
Their team is much better because of Wade, but their team is still mediocre at best. I'd rather focus on TEAMS that are a threat to advance at least a round or two. Instead the focus is on one player and the wildly overrated MVP award.
The Heat can definitely advance to the second round. I'd put their chances at doing to be roughly the same as ours.
Let's say we play Chicago, and then blow a big lead and lose! Oh wait..... And LOL @ the LeBron game getting no play, it was all over ESPN that night and they ran that truehoop blog thing charting every single Battier/Artest stop of LeBron the next day. Stop being such a hayseed - the Rockets are on TV all the time. Wade gets press because he is performing at an otherworldly level and taking a bad team to the playoffs, which is not easy to do by yourself.
Its not his fault-Dwade is a closer, the same way that Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are. Those guys cannot elevate mediocre teams into good teams by themselves. What they do though is elevate good teams into great ones. THe fact that the Heat are playing the way they do is a testament to his skills more than anything else. Paul Pierce had Al Jefferson, and Kobe Bryant had Lamar Odom yet they couldn't prevent their team from going into the lottery. Dwade has freakin' Michael Beasley, and they're actually in the playoff hunt lol
Heat will make the playoffs much more because of the (lack of) competition in the East. They would be the 10 seed at best in the West even with Wade carrying them.
i really hope miami does try to get more talent around wade or i see wade leaving in 2010 for a place where he can play with more talent. sure he got his ring but his team has sucked since that ring. i mean jermaine o'neal is a shell of his former shelf and beasley is honestly in a way a bust most people figured he would lead the rookies in scoring and rebounding this year and be the front runner for ROY but neither has happened. still a talented player but maybe the heat may have been better off picking westbrook, mayo or brook lopez at that spot. beasley can and probably will improve though. but the rest of that team is just terrible. wade is plain sick i am not a huge fan of him though i think he is full of himself and get annoyed with his personality but the boy sure can ball.
Agreed. If the Heat play the Hawks the way things are looking right now in the playoffs I can see Dwade going off like Jordan used to do in the late 80's and circa VC and AI in the early 2000's. I'd expect some ridiculous stats along the lines of 32+ppg/7rebs/8assists/2 steals/1 block high shooting effeciency and plenty of highlights for our viewing pleasures.
