Like i said Fortuyn was also killed for having a opinion. But he got killed for a political opinion(wich i did not share). I know it is terrible that Van Gogh was murdered but i just feel that this murder get to much atention compaired to other murders. You are right Respecting others opinions is one of the core of dutch society. But i get the feeling it is not as much as it used to be. If you want to know about fortuyn murder, i will give you a smal recap. Pim Fortyun was a gay right politician, He blamed the foreigners for alot of the problems in holland. Atleast there were no problems in holland, he first kept saying that holland was in bad shape, and he kept repeating that until alot of people believed him. He made some very disturbing comments about other cultures and religion. He was very popular. A week before the elections he got shot by a man, (nature activist). it was a big deal in holland.

because of this death there are alot of problems in holland. There have been alot of islamic schools and Mosqee(or how you write it in English) burned. by racist white people. Also there have been some fires in Churches. Yes it is great to life in holland
