Will Jalen be 30+ years old still painting his nails?

Does Rodman still paint his and have all the weird hair and ****? Genuine question as I've not seen the man in years, but I feel like you either grow out of those things as you get through your 20's, or you stay that way for life and are one of those like 60 year old dudes with multicoloured hair in parachute pants on the beach all day loll.

We were walking around Newport Beach a couple of years ago, and while we were crossing the street, a black Land Rover pulled up with the windows down. I look over and it's Dennis Rodman driving, one arm out while smoking a cigar. I threw him deuces, and he threw them back. Pretty sure he had orange or blonde hair, with a similarly dyed goatee, and sunglasses. Dude is still rocking the same vibe from 30 years ago. Props to him.

Doesn't surprise me at all. I have some friends who are more arty/creative/expressive and they're just as eccentric aesthetically as they were as teens, they just tend to pull it off a lot better having mastered their look I guess,

Still don’t understand why so many boomers on this board care about this.

Interesting, Bobby Marks says the the KD trade will be a 7 team trade.

LeBron to GSW unfortunately makes sense, but why the hell would we help that happen?

    KD/LeBron/Nash pod

21:06 I remember we were in a game against Cleveland, Georges Niang, I hit a couple mid-range in a row, we’re down 15, he’s like “You need to shoot more threes!” I said “No, these guys around me need to shoot more threes. I need to play my game.” If I get into this paint and you’re gonna collapse on this mid-range and I kick out to them, I’m expecting them to shoot the three, not dribble into a mid-range.

22:10 If you can’t find a good shot, you should look for the good shots early. The threes, attack the paint, try to get layups, try to get threes. When it’s 5 seconds on the clock, give the ball to your best player and if he shoots a mid-range, he shoots a mid-range but we’re not gonna waste the clock trying to look for a three, 2 seconds on the clock and we’re giving it to Dorian Finney-Smith to make a three. That’s not sustainable offense.

43:40 I don’t know if the 6’2 and under guard is at a premium no more as a starter. Maybe as a backup. … You can’t get picked on defense. We’re playing the pick on game. If you can’t guard, they will bring you up every play. If you’re not a bulldog like Davion Mitchell, Jrue Holiday on the defensive side or offensively a flat out savant like Kyrie, I just can’t see it.

“The midrange game is coming back for sure,” said Durant, speaking of the NBA in general.

But when James mentioned how games change in the postseason and teams need their star players to get a bucket, the conversation turned to which players should be looking at midrange jumpers.

“I understand the balance in having to get up a lot of 3s, but I believe you can’t tell (James), Luka (Dončić) or Austin Reeves, don’t play the game and take those shots in the midrange. Just be you,” Durant said. “Certain guys, though, who need to rely on the system of the team, who can’t create on their own, who can’t create those shots on their own, they need to shoot those 3s.”

Durant remembered a specific Phoenix Suns game against the Cavaliers in 2024 when he was hot from the midrange, but Cleveland’s Georges Niang told him he needed to be shooting more 3s.

“I said, 'No, these dudes around me need to shoot more 3s, I need to play my game, because if I get into this paint, y’all are going to collapse on this midrange and I kick out to one of them, I’m expecting them to shoot the 3, not dribble into a midrange. That don’t make no sense,” Durant said. “The best players on the team, you can’t turn them into role players.”

Durant’s philosophy, and one that James and Nash agree with, is simple: Look for good shots early in the shot clock. Attack the lane and try to get layups and look for open 3s, but when the clock is winding down, the midrange is no longer off the table, especially for the team’s best scorer.

“When there’s five and six seconds on the clock, get the ball to the best player,” Durant said. “If he shoots a midrange at that point, then he shoots a midrange, but we’re not going to waste the clock trying to look for a 3 with two seconds on the clock and we’re giving it to — no disrespect — Dorian Finney-Smith with two seconds on the clock to make a 3. That’s not what, or Royce O’Neale, I mean they can hit it for sure, but that’s not sustainable offense for us going forward.”

Notably, the Rockets, who ranked in the bottom half of the league last season in both 3-pointers attempted and 3-point shooting percentage, agreed to a contract with Finney-Smith on Monday night, well after Durant had recorded the podcast.

“The midrange has never been more important. It just has to come from the right dudes,” Nash said. “The court is spaced now by the role players. What do you think they’re trying to take away? Threes and layups, so the star has to be able to make midrange shots or else the team is not going to be able to score in a playoff situation.”

    “It’s that simple,” Durant said.

Ngl one of the best part of the trade is not having to root for this weirdo anymore. Not that he’s a bad guy, and I’m sure he’s a hard worker. But very contrary to Amen, Sengun who seem like they genuinely take the responsibility of being good influences for the youth that watch them seriously.

All the hate on Jalen green is pathetic.
Dude played hard his entire career here and by all accounts was a good teammate.
So what if he was a little bit different and a “weirdo”
I would have 100% rather won with him than Kevin Durant.
too bad it didn’t work out that way.

I have been a big supporter of Jalen Green. And I also think that he might play well enough to where he out of his contract in two years and some team is forced to pay him entirely too much.

I know that Durant is 37 but I truly believe he has a couple effective years in front of him.
