Ownership and the front office already have developed an off ramp and scape goat if KD gets injured again.

 

I wonder what it would take to acquire someone like Derrick White?

I seriously think adding someone like him makes us the definitive 2nd best team in the NBA and a real threat against OKC

Last night on KOC emergency pod, the PHO beat writer re-upped on his assertion that there is 0 percent chance Beal is in PHO next season. Seemed to be primarily suggesting buyout but wasn't totally clear.

Also, he was EXTREMELY adamant that PHO front office wanted to keep Green & play him lots. Point was that fit w/ Book isn't as bad as people think b/c Book doesn't attack the basket and they think that's Green's game. (Obvi they need to temper those expectations until Green improves at-the-basket efficiency.)

All of that is to say that I think Green gets those minutes.

 

And will get superstar officiating. Oh my!

 

S&T FVV + Cam for Harden, then picks and matching salary to Boston for White. Harden/White/Amen/KD/Sengun, OKC are ok, they aint beating that.

I don't think it's worth giving up our future first for Derrick White.

I can see something like Jabari/Landale/Holiday/2027 FRP Swap from Brooklyn/2028 Rockets Unprotected FRP. Even this, I don't see why the Celtics would bite. Sure they get a serviceable center and a good prospect in Jabari plus a couple of FRPs, but to give up part of their core talent for when they are ready to compete after next season, just doesn't seem to make sense to me. Would be cool.

Ime could see the wring on the wall with Jalen. One thing people aren’t talking about much is the immediate bball iq upgrade in the starting lineup similar to the jump that was made when Fred and Dillon were added. Jalen isn’t a smart player. Add that to all the other inconsistencies and it’s a losing proposition. The talent is there. The effort is there. He lacks the intangibles of a winning basketball player. I don’t hate Jalen. I wish him well but he’s always going to struggle with making the right reads at the right time. An electric off the bench scorer is his destiny.
