Durant traded to Houston for Green, Brooks, #10 pick, and multiple 2nd rounders

I expect quite a few 80 page plus threads. This is how I expect KD to treat other teams @juanm34

 

It'll be interesting to see whether the Rockets stay put or use some draft capital to bring in more veterans to play with KD. If it's the latter, it's not just one pick we're giving up, the cost of adding KD to the roster can snowball quickly and before you know it we're the Nets or the Suns. KD lobbied to bring in players while he was in Phoenix (e.g., Bradley Beal). He's probably going to lobby the front office to make more ill-advised trades while in Houston.

 

Our expectations are aligned.

When is the last time the Rockets had a player in the 50-40-90 club? 2nd highest true shooting percentage in the league behind Jokic. His insane efficiency + Rockets getting a ton of extra possessions due to defense and rebounding is going to lead to a huge improvement for the offense. Teams are not going to be able to double both Sengun and Durant when they're on the court at the same time too.

 

Yeah anybody acting like we are mortgaging the future isn't actually paying attention.

 

I think remembering green’s contract helps me digest this trade. It’s hard to see two of our guys get traded, especially with JG only being 23. But not sure he’s worth his price tag

 

Now we rolling the dice on a declining FVV & KD to lead our team. Hope it doesn't blow up in our face lol

 

I really can't see a downside to this other than Durant's age.

I like Jalen, but KD is still better right now. Losing Brooks hurts, but this should now open up minutes for other players like Reed, and Cam.

I thought for sure Jabari, and another first round pick would have to have been included in the trade.

Not too worried about the 2nd round picks.

One thing is for sure; the window for a championship run is now open for the next couple of seasons while Durant still has some gas left in the tank.

The defensive tone he set and edge will definitely be missed. Jabari will probably go back into the starting lineup and even though I like Jabari, he’s soft.

 

10th pick won't likely be productive. At best, rotational.

We aren't building a super team. We added a great scorer

 

I think the closest we had to a 50 40 90 guy was probably CP3 in 2018, but KD is definitely going to be the most efficient scorer we’ve had in a very long time.
