Anytime you are getting five 2nd round picks from the team that controls all your 1st round picks out to 2029, you probably didn’t win the trade ;)

Stone deserves real credit. If the rumors about what the heat and spurs were offering are true, we had the best deal by far though. Still, excellent job by the front office. This really settles a lot for me with our front office.

Agreed. Next year’s draft is expected to be much deeper with quality talent.

Can we flip Fred for Harden?

I think a Fred / Amen backcourt will be hard to watch

I really didn't want to give up the 10th pick, should be a couple good options available. All those excited about getting rid of Green's contract, KD makes 54 this year and I bet wants to be maxed out for the next 2 years. 60+ a year for 2 years of a declining player that you are going to have to load manage anyways. I hate load management.

Durant if he was traded to the Spurs: Wow the Spurs got a Top 10 player what a move!

Durant traded to the Rockets: Who cares he's old and won't play more than 60 games.

Time will show this trade will set back the Rockets. I don’t understand star chasing a 36 year beta who can’t win without an alpha. I thought better of the Fertittas and Stone - guess they know better. We gave up too much. More ticket sales, TV, and jerseys - won’t translate to a championship.

    FVV / Reed / Holiday
    Amen / Cam
    Durant / Tari
    Bari / Tate / Green
    Sengun / Adams / Landale

something like that I would think right off the bat. Reed and Cam have great chemistry together. Tate is still an underrated dog of a hustle player.

Neither Green or Jabari are ever going to be a superstar, but I think Jabari is a better team player than Green. Jabari can be an 18/10 guy.

So with Brooks gone who fills the role of "hard-ass tough guy who always wants to start a fight" for this team going forward?

If the rumors about Phoenix already shopping Green are true, it'll be very interesting what his value around the league is.

There may be a documentary one day about Stone and Phoenix. It all began with James forcing his way out. Then it led to Stone taking their picks and eventually their best player. He not only placed Phoenix in the hurt locker. Then he didn’t even give them anything back when they asked for something in return for their best player. It’s brutal. Not sure I have ever seen a GM of one team affect another teams fortune so much. He has single handedly devalued the Phoenix franchise by tens or hundreds of millions of dollars for the next five years.

Good trade. Might not be enough to move the needle but I can watch the rockets again because of Durant. Once a longhorn, always a longhorn.

We gave up almost nothing of value. This draft class is weak.

we got off a bad contract and gave up a pick in a bad draft. There’s very little downside here.

Excellent point. If there are any significant buy outs, I could see Houston being a desired destination now.
