Thought of Durant v Harden in that regard last night. Harden no doubt is a fighter. That said, I think Durant would have chucked it if he were going up against his former team fo' sho'. That said he doesn't chuck it enough, but I'm sure in a big game he would chuck it. This little "fact" about him doesn't hold much merit or weight. Still a phenom.

Battier's also admitted before that this is the one thing that he does that he knows is bad for the team, but good for his personal stats.

Durant was off last night...if he was on...that shot he took down by 3 wouldve been in...and the Rockets wouldve been playing for the final shot...Durant is an assassin when he shoots and gets into a rhythm...you cant be a 90% FT shooter without being considered a really good shooter...Thats what KD is...and he was off target last night..

I thought of this thread when Harden made that half court shot.

I don't watch too many Thunder games, but he did whine quite a bit last night. I was also shocked when Bill Worrell said Durant led the league in technicals. I just checked, and Durant is #3 in the league with 11 techs behind Demarcus Cousins and Kobe with 12 each. To put that in perspective, no Rocket is in the top 100 in technical foul leaders. Patrick Beverly and Thomas Robinson of all people lead the Rockets in technical fouls with 2 each lol. Harden and Lin both have 1 each (Lin got his 1st tech last night)

Yeah, me too. I wonder if Durant will re-think his position on this issue. That Harden half court shot ended up being pretty important in the game outcome.

but when Durant takes half court shots, he has to run into the shot to get it off, while Harden can spot up from half court like any other shot and make it look easy

Scoring leaders with games shooting under 40% this season.

He gestured to his teammates on the bench when he got his triple double in the 4th. Problem is he was so intent on getting it that he wasn't in rhythm offensively when it mattered and his shot fell flat. He missed like his last 5 shots. That last 3 made my heart skip a beat though..it was close.

meh all those other guys have way more talent on their teams than Harden. Harden is the focal point on scouting reports and they all hone in on him. Everyone else has 1 or more all-star teammates to draw attention.

I actually expect that from harden as it is only his first year, and as you said he has no other stars next to him. What stood out to me was lebron only having one such game.

What's even more amazing is that LeBron has only 8 games this season with under 50% shooting!

Shane battier did this as well when he was with the Rockets, there was some story with Morey talking about this IIRC
