Why is McGrady in this conversation?

    Look at the thread title!

By this logic, Dirk Nowitzki isn't a superstar. How soon we forget his Mavericks choked away an 18 point fourth quarter lead in game 4 versus Portland. No one would argue that Nowitzki isn't a superstar considering he's one of the five best players in the game today.

Durant is one of the top 10 players in the NBA, and therefore is a superstar.

    Good point.

I wish he had the ball handling skills to get wherever he wants on the court at all times.

He's still a great scorer, he is fun to watch, he is young as well so hopefully he learns from these situations. Getting experience is key!

This is dumb. Of course he is. I can argue his second player is not. Westbrook reminds of exactly like Steve Francis. Dribbles too much, tries to ball control the offense, then takes a bad shot after running out the clock. This is what Steve Francis and a better version of Tmac would look like if they teamed up. Durant and Westbrook.

You're out of your mind. Pau Gasol got swept in the playoffs 4 times in a row. Does that mean he's not a real superstar? He won 2 rings with Kobe afterwards, does that mean he's now a superstar but he wasn't before? Playoff success has more to do with the company you're with than your actual ability, I dunno why I have to spell this out to a 99er when Hakeem only won 2 rings despite being one of the best Cs in the history of the game. All this crap directed to the only player who was healthy during the playoffs and actually increased his performance over the regular season? You should be thanking him because Tmac made it a 7 game series against the Jazz, if we didn't have him it would have been a sweep with Yao getting dominated by Okur and Rafer Alston/Ryan Bowen/Juwon Howard poopoo platter against Deron Williams and Boozer.

Also your 2nd statement doesn't even make sense. LBJ gets booed in cleveland, which happens to be his former team, and Kobe just got booed in LA. Look at that, a real superstar who didn't just get booed by his former team, he got booed by his present team

The a real superstar doesn't get booed by his former team might be the dumbest thing said on this board and that is saying something.

    Booed?

Don't forget about Kobe quitting on his team and throwing his teammates under the bus getting booed in LA before they won 2 championships in a row.
