the thing with durant is when he doesn't score, he usually has little impact on a game.

i want him to be like westbrook. when you can't score over 20, grab 10+ boards or get 10+ dimes or go shut the other guy down.

Kevin Durant is a very special player. He is long, 6'10, handles the ball like a guard and has probably the best shooting touch in the league. If asked, any great defenders in the league would say Durant is the toughest to guard. He is a superstar. A great scoring superstar. There are no other players in the league that can score as easy as Durant.

He was merely stating a fact.

Of course you don't see why. You're throwing out names like Cheeks, DJ, Rodman, Byron Scott, etc. and acting like they're max players or top 3 players or even top 10 players. I don't expect you to see the problem.

He needs to develop some playmaking skills. He's only averaging 2.7 assists a game for the season? That's pretty underwhelming. He may use up too much energy for scoring so he can't focus on defense or playmaking as much, which is understandable. It may easier once he develops those skills/opens up his game.

he will never develop those. you don't have it by your 3rd year, you will never get it.

what durant can improve upon is finding easier ways to score when teams try to deny him the ball and play him physical. he tends to go into a shell when that happens. he's never going to be a great all-around player. he is a ridiculously great scorer though.

Lebron did more with less while on Cleveland that any other player in the history of the NBA.

    It's such subjective term.

Considering he was the leading scorer 2 years in a row and did it with stunning efficiency, plus his team is winning, I'd say, yes, he is a superstar.

Now, he isn't as all- around as LeBron. But who is?

He's kind of like a rich man's Kevin Martin. Not fool's gold, but real gold!

durant is the next dirk that's slightly more trigger happy and less efficient.

Who's also more athletic. Durant is a combination Dirk and Tmac.

I still don't get why people compare T-mac and Durant in terms of having a similar game.

    Their games are nothing alike.

Except he's not less efficent. They are both very efficient with TS% around 60%.

They are both tall and lanky. That's about it.

Tmac was a great passer with great court vision while Durant is a horrible passer.

Durant is a highly efficient scorer while Tmac was terribly inefficient.

Pretty much. I mean I understand that they both were scorers but they scored much differently.
