durant disappears far too often and commits palming violations on every other dribble. plus he's a whiny beeeyatch
never understood the obsession and rampant admiration for this clown. He showed his true colors in these 2 series. He is a whiny b**** and a douche. His "swipe" move to draw the foul has to be one of the most disgraceful things to ever take place on an NBA basketball court. Not to mention, he is an abslute ref darling who gets fouls called whenever someone breathes on him. The refs fail to understand that just because Durant has never seen the inside of a weight room, doesn't mean that he deserves a whistle every time anyone comes within a foot of him.
Durant is great, but Grizzlies defense is greater. They held OKC under 100 points in all 5 games. Against us, we only held the Thunder only 1 game under 100 points. Memphis didn't get a pass on the Clippers either, LA didn't score over 100 in all their losses except the last one. Kobe couldn't do it all by himself, Lebron couldn't do it all by himself, why would Durant do it?!?!? Grizzlies are the blueprints to a championship team with a Defensive Player of the Year (Gasol) and 2nd Team All-Defense (Conley). Durant and Westbrook might slip by Griz, but it would not be that easy.
Is Durant better than Lebron? No. No one is right now. I don't see a lot of debate over that. Is Durant one of the 5 best players in the league? Absolutely. Not sure what this thread is.
Durant has never been considered better than Lebron by most people anyway but he's the 2nd best player on this planet; that's superstar. and what are you gonna say if Grizzlies beat Lebron and co. in the final. talk about knee-jerk reactions lol.
Lol what a funny thread. Comparing a 23 year old to a 28 year old one. This reminds me of all those stupid Kobe/Lebron debates when Bron was in Cleveland. "Lebron don't have the rings tho! Kobe got rings!" Give the man some time.
Durant is a great player, but we now see why Morey so desperately wants a second star player. It's really hard for one superstar to carry a team to a championship. Lebron couldn't do it in Cleveland, Jordan needed Pippen, Kobe needed help from players like Shaq, and Gasol. It's not impossible to win a championship with one star, but it's really tough. I still think Durant is an amazing player.
Durant is one of the best players I have ever seen. He just didn't have much to work with in this series. No consistent offense from any other player along with Perkins and Fisher playing big minutes. One on five doesn't work even for the greatest players.
Durant is number 2. Sort of dumb to compare him after LeBron having an all time great season. With no other legit scorer, and Memphis banging them hard in the paint, its also dumb to lay this series on him.
