Sorry msn, don't have a specific source. My mistake on that just something I heard in passing I think on sports radio. So dub it as hearsay but, you do have to admit this and that's with the stuff that came out about Carr being 9-5 and not really putting his heart and soul into developing his craft. potentially this legitimizes why Carr had difficulty passing the ball while last year we largely ran the ball at will. I think it goes without saying that the OL and for that matter the whole team, coaches and all trust and respect Schauby's game. It definitely makes a difference when everyone on the squad is going all out and trusts and competes on EVERY down! In the future, will try to get a specific link or source with topics of this nature.
i think id also agree with the top 20/ second tier CB. hes real good (he was making plays all over the place at the texans-cowboys preseason game this year, but not a lockdown/ dont-even-bother-throwing-it-here corner. i really like him, seems like a nice guy. hes one of my favorite texans.
I think overall as a player, he is top 10 in his position. He is quick thinking off the snap. He studies his opponents well and knows his position. Most of the time, the way to avoid him is to place the ball over his head, which isn't always easy to do without throwing it out of bounds. If you throw it short, you're burned. If your WR messes up his route, you're burned, because CB's follow the player and the ball. And he's quick at making the adjustment. Let's not forget that even the best corner can get burned, if the QB is well protected. I like d-rob
I agree, and I'll say that given the output of the DL prior to this season is costing him about 5 spots on that list. I have seen enough to know that he can contain, every CB get's toasted now and then, but if the DL has pressure on the QB and a pass never gets made you don't notice the CB getting burned as much. I think there are worse CBs out there that have had better lines and seem to be rated as better CBs.
