    He's nowhere near elite.

He's good but he's not great. He's a GREAT hitter, but he gets beat in coverage too much to be elite (not that he gets beat a LOT, but too much to be elite) and he doesn't make enough big plays either.

He's a good cornerback and if you have two guys at his level, you are in good shape.

Dunta is one of the top 10-20 corners in the game no doubt, I love the way he plays.

Andre OTOH is in the top three wideouts.

Every team in the league knows and respects dunta... alot of WR's are scared of him making that big hit on them. to me he's a top 10-15 Corner.. the Texas defense is one of the top in the league last year they finished in the top 10 when it came to defensive efficiency

Now when it comes to Andre Johnson everybody knows he's damned good, the fact he made the pro bowl last year even though we had a horrible poor excuse of a quarter back shows that.

he also suffers from substandard safeties and an ineffective pass rush. but yes, he's a terrific tackler.

i think he is one of the best overall corner backs in the league. He is one of the best against the run and his coverage skills are pretty good. I will say this too, he is never afraid to voice his opinions. Do any of you listen to his weekly show on 97.5 (Mondays 6pm)? It's good stuff. :)

You've obviously never seen Nnamdi Asomougha lock down a wideout.

He's a 2nd tier guy with pro-bowl talent. The only problem is he plays for the Raiders. He'll get more recognition once he moves on to a better team.

He made the pro bowl last year as an alternate and there are several people who regard him as the AFC West's premier corner.

He'll be a household name soon enough. If anyone can pronounce it.

My apologies, Moe, for not memorizing every god damned cornerback in the league.

Crazy people. He's good, but Champ Bailey is the elite of all elites.

Dunta is really good but not great, probably #10-20 in the league. He is one of the best hitting corners I have seen recently. He seems to always have good coverage, sometimes great, but he is far from a shut-down corner. People still throw at him quite a bit, but I think he's got the potential to be a Top 5 CB if he can make some more plays on balls.

and just to throw some salt on the wound....Terrence Newman needs to be on that list to.

But, I think Dunta is a very good cornerback. I'd put him in my top 10-15 in the league. He's definitely one of the top 5 tacklers at CB though.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Uhh .. wait that didn't come out right! :D Seriously though, if you give any validity to the comments McKinney made about the former #8 here (not respected and not liked) , it makes a rapid turnaround not seem so crazy to think about. I knew Kuby would have the Midas touch for OUR Texans! Do we dare count how many VYOFers will be jumping ship perhaps by the time of our first encounter should we have no worse than 2 losses? I'd love nothing more than have some of these Tit fans eat crow, a big steaming bowl of IT! :D :D :D

if the Texans beat the Titans twice or even three times a year, VY Nutters still wouldn't care about the Texans, and that's fine.

Once VY retires, they will go looking to see who the next Golden Boy is and cheer for his profesional team.

I don't have a time machine to fast forward time, but that's a lock to happen.

World class tackling skills...above average coverage skills, not enough consistency at big plays though...overall top 15
