You don't lose on purpose but you start developing your talent a little, basically look more to the future, get some of the young guys some confidence for the next year. Sometimes, it is not about the now, but about the next year. Hey, think of it this way, JVG cost us Brandon Roy because of trying to win every game. Sometimes you have to be smarter than that. DD
See, now here is a guy who has played the game (At SWT) and understands how simple the game is, if played correctly. Although I don't agree completely with the athleticism, the Celtics ran fine without it..... DD
On the radio here in Dallas, a couple of Mav homers were raving about GG's performance last night. Claiming him to be the 2nd coming of Josh Howard & that Carlisle knows how to make young players successful. They did call him out on his decision making some & that while he can dunk, jump out of the building, and shoot ok, he's just not a solid basketball player . . . yet. That they considered him a dumbass for his antics like at the dunk contest he autographing his own shoe & giving it to Dawkins & Dr J.
No matter how anyone spins it Gerald Green > Bobby Jones. Period. Heck, why not keep Green over Francis. Both are "dumb" and athletic, except Green is younger, longer and more explosive than the past his prime Francis. Rockets have made personnel blunders before, so they are not infallible. Letting Posey go, drafting THREE scrubs over Rashard Lewis, trading Jefferson for Griffin, letting Azuibuike go, etc.
they traded 3 players INCLUDING jefferson for Griffin. that was just classic rockets science. like trading Gay, Swift and draft picks for Battier. altho im glad we have battier, we couldve gotten more in the deal.
