But MJ loved Math because it made you think. You may not need to be a rocket scientist to jump high but creativity makes you a better all around player.

He definitely has talent. I was sad to see him go and more so now since we had to decide between Strawberry or Wafer??! UGH. :(

What does MJ have to do with Green? Nobody said Green was going to be a franchise player. At the most, people said that this kid can play and should be a rotational player in the league. As of right now, he's already surpassed the expectations of a lot of people who said he would never make another NBA team. Playing significant minutes for a playoff contender isn't too shabby. Not bad for a r****d right?

i saw part of the dallas game and his bball IQ is just not there. On one play radmonavic airballed a 3, it was going out of bounds but greene jumped at it and managed to throw the ball off of gasol's leg. he could've easily cost his team a possession had gasol not been there

What? Why do you refer to Green as a r****d? All I said was that it helps to be creative. When you have to say "not bad for a r****d", that's not really saying much is it?

They let him go last year because Landry was injured and they needed another PF, thus Harris came in and Green had to go. We brought in Artest so Green doind good shouldn't concern us. Also, why all the hate for Wafer (and Strawberry) all of a sudden ? Wafer has the potential too but if you don't use him, you will never find out how good he really is. At least let him see some minutes, maybe he will blow us away like he did in pre-season. Our offense is struggling and Wafer can get to the basket so instead of playing T-mac 30+ and playing Head, who was out of rotation and used in a game where we needed size, let Wafer get 5-10 mins. Let's see what he can do, he's no Green but boy I would love to see how he does in a regular season game. Brooks penetrating, drawing double-teams and kicking it out to an open Wafer: money in the bank. Wafer was not just good because it was pre-season, the Celtics were playing good defense and Wafer was just one step quicker and had a vicious dunk. Also, he didn't take only wide open shots, there were some contested ones too so give the kid a chance. Come on Adelman, show some faith in Wafer you like you did in Brooks & Landry. :)

It was stupid and I hated it , a guy that has so much talent and is younger than both Brooks and Landry you don't just dumpo him like that.
Even though he didn't do good in Minnesotta he did very well in Boston.

I always knew this guy could be 12-15 ppg scorer with 4 rebounds and 1-2 assits.

    Nothing we can do now.

He can't shoot. He can't play defense. He's not a professional. The roster is too loaded. End of story.

Yeah, what would we do with an athletic SF/SG that shoots 50% from the field and 33% from the 3pt line. and scores 10.7ppg in only 18 minutes of playing time?

I mean, who needs a player that doesn't settle for 3pters and attacks the basket when the defense closes out on you?

Who needs that? Oh wait...WE DO !!

Gerald Green is their version of Carl Landry, a guy that comes in and just produces at a very high level.

Color me shocked that people want to talk about his intelligence, or perceived lack there of, and want to ignore his production or growth as an NBA player.....it is a good thing we gave up on Brooks after he struggled, isn't it?

But Dallas still lost the game. Green will still be fishing while rockets are fighting in playoffs. A rookie for playoffs is better than a playoff chocker anyway. Green will not get into the playoffs unless he escape dallas and rejoin us, or join another team other than Mavs and Spurs.

    Southwest division ranking:New Orlean Hornets 59-23; rockets 51-31;memphis 40-42 ;Spurs 39-43; Mavs 32-50.

Someone please explain to me how Dallas losing the game or Dallas sucking has any relevance at all to his worth as a player.

This doesn't mean I wish we still had him. I could care less, I just cringe when I see the same r****ded arguments tossed around.

May be, but Dallas is 2-5. He can even be a 20 ppg scorer on a BAD team. Looks like Dallas is playing their worst.

    Cabbage,

You get it. You are officially a member of the "I get it" club.

Amazing some of the arguments against players....they just don't add up.

If you don't like his game, or you think he doesn't fit, or is too expensive...fine...

But to argue about a team losing when he is a part time player is ludicrous, it is like blaming Carl Landry for the Rocket's struggles..

At first I thought you were talking about McGrady!

Anyway, I wasn't interested in keeping him really, but if I had known roster spots were going to Von Wafer and Strawberry or Luther Head I would have held onto him.

And for all the talk of him not having the BB IQ to run this offense, our superstar SG has the IQ for it and still doesn't run it.

I sure know I'd prefer Scola to Bosh. I mean, look at the records last year!
