hahaha arey ou joking? You actually "switched" what team you're a fan of? And on top of that, to the team with the best record? Top 10 most hilarious post of all time to me.. And no more sleepless nights? Wow, are you in for a surprise..
You cant tell in teh statbook if the officiating was good or not. Sure, a team can shoot the same number of FTs or get the same number of fouls called. Its not about the number of fouls called or FTs attempted, its about when during the game they occur. The 2 minute stretch of the 3rd quarter in game 2 Warriors/Mavs is a perfect illustration. Warriors and Mavs both attacking the basket. I believe Mavs got to the foul line 2 or 3 times, Warriors none. Both teams were fouled pretty hard going to the basket, one time the Mavs got a very cheap and 1. Baron Davis got so frustrated he didnt even want to play anymore.
On the contrary, they're not really ignorant fans, they're the new type of fans in teh latter day basketball league.
Hollinger pointed out in his blog that Utah in the regular season averaged the most opponent FT's in a game. Just looking at the numbers for their regular season averages: <table border=1> <tr><td></td><td>Opp. Ft Att</td><td>League Rank</td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Houston</td><td>24.4</td><td>8</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Utah</td><td>30.9</td><td>30(dead last)</td> </tr> </table> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/stati...plit=999&order=false&season=2007&seasontype=2 Utah is a fouling machine, so if they give up a ton of free throws and get called for a ton of fouls, that's what's supposed to happen. Edit: Not sure why there's such a big space between the table and the top, but whatever.
