[DUMB] Man puts $30,000 in upgrades on a Civic but doesn't insure it

but what joy do you get out of driving a stock car, instead of driving something you put your heart and soul into?

 

I am sure he made enough money from the upgrades by winning car shows, photo shoots and other stuff.

A lot of those upgrade are probably free from the manufacturer to get their name out. Lot of sponsership and other things.

So i am sure he got his money back.

 

You do realize that this was an "art car", show car, whatever, and was not meant to be driven around? Dude has a regular car, this is just a hobby.

Thus the lack of insurance.

Had a couple of beers with the guy on Market Square during Art Car weekend last year. Good guy. Cool car, not my thing, but definitely cool.

how do you have something that is worth that much to you and not have it at least insured against theft?

If you had something very valuable in your home...would'nt you make sure that your insurance covered it in case something happened?

I certainly would...
