OK, I've got nothing to base this on but a hunch, but ...

The winner of Quette/Pitt goes to the Final Four.

Duke is doomed. Kansas is going to win by 15 points.

If the officials dominate this game, Kanas is in big trouble.

Yep, in order to win Duke had to make their threes. Their best shooter went 2 for 16...Ball Game!

Well, the officials did seem to dominate the game last night and Reddick couldn't hit a shot.. Collison was throwing guys out of the way and then had several wide open layups.. What a great player. He also had two obvious goal tends which were not called. The officiating was horrible. I've heard of letting people play but not when one guy is just throwing people to the ground to get open. I'm still pissed off about this game.. I wish Reddick had hit 20% of his shots though and I wouldn't be here b****ing about the refs...

Am I the only one who watched Marquette/Pitt?

Dwayne Wade looked like the player of the year in the second half. Dude just took over -- scoring, passing, playing D.

Ahhh, I finally got some mojo going into the turney. See if it continues....Arizona will beat Kansas with the eventual margin around 10. Arizona is rested, deep, and Walton/Gardner are providing great leadership. Kansas is worn and doesn't have the guns. The only thing that can stop Zona might be Kentucky. All I have to say is go Marquette--and I honestly believe they have a good chance to beat them, maybe close to 50/50 is Bogans is ineffective with his high ankle sprain because UK will need all the offense they can get against Marquett.

I still think the Texas-Uconn winner will take that bracket all together. I am feeling better and better about Texas though. Uconn and Okafor can be worn down like Pitt did--the crowd, Texas depth, James Thomas working his tail off--I think that will be the difference.

OU or Cuse will fight for the other spot--OU is the better team, Cuse has the crowd--I don't have a strong feeling who is going to win that one, maybe after I see how Hollis plays tonight that will tip my thinking.

If Texas gets the crowd into it early, I think they just might blow UConn out.

Maryland, if they get past MSU, will be a much tougher test for the Horns.

I like the Cuse coming out of their bracket. But I've learned never to put actual money on a Boeheim-coached team. ;)

Wade is majorly impressing me. The block on Estill and conversion on the other end was fantastic. Best player I have seen this year.

The real "Baby Jordan" a great athelete with great body control, shooting skills & court instincts. Complete and explosive player.

Keep it up Marquette--don't let Uk get close.

That was maybe the most complete game from a single player I've ever seen this deep in the tourney.

    Wade's totals:

    29 pts
    11 boards
    11 assists
    4 blocks (I think)

All this on super-efficient 11-16 shoooting.

Wade did it all. He slashed his way to the hoop, he hit two of two threes, he made Robert Jackson look like Tim Duncan with perfect assists in the lane, and he cleaned up the offensive and defensive glass. Plus, I counted at least 4 deflections on the defensive end.

And when he was out, Kentucky made a mini-run.

    Damn, that was impressive.

Love the way he looks for his teammates again and again -- even when he appeared to be able to score whenever he wanted to.

Like I said earlier in the thread, I had a hunch that the winner of Pitt/Quette might take out Kentucky -- I just thought both teams had the size and guard play to be able to pull it off. Then Bogans got hurt, and UK was ripe for an upset.

It'll be fun to see how Wade plays in the national semis.

And wouldn't he look nice in a Rockets uni? ;)
