i thought the report was relatively even handed. what was sensational was what the Port Director said.

which part of the Port Director's vague response was sensational?

he gave a canned response that said "not in this port"

first he said "yes", then hedged, then changed it further to a vague "not in the port, with the clear implication that elsewhere..."

Probably the loading docks that link to the Citadel Security force offices.

I don't see what the big deal is. I would be surprise if someone hasn't tried to smuggle chemical or other "mass effects" into the U.S. That's kinda obvious that they are trying.

That they got intercepted is great.

The thing that is scary is really that they are trying. This is a determined enemy....eventually they will succeed unless we change their motivations.

Mid east peace and the end to conflict is so critical.

Actually an end to the Batarian conflict in the Scyllian Verge and the clean-up of Omega Nebula would be even more critical.

Please keep this coming. It's brilliant. It does make me miss Mass Effect though.

I'd never have believed that the Galactic Codex would prove so useful - apparently I was wrong.

No kidding I rarely even looked at my new entries other than to stop it blinking.

But now that we know the real mass effect threat from San Diego I can see that you did well to look at it.

Those codex entries gave away important state secrets, like strategies and tactics of aliens, space combat and their weaponry. Totally unnecessary, but also awesome for the amount of detail they put in.

I read the collated entries in the Mass Effect wikia every day, it was what allowed me to get out in front of the threat that basso so presciently identified.

In Mass Effect 3 maybe I'll have to pay more attention or now that the threat is in San Diego.

Hopefully the interceptors are equipped with AP or Warp Ammo, also if they can hide behind a pole or something and use cover - it should help immensely.

That was kind of my reaction. All that seems to have happened here is that someone who wasn't supposed to say anything about it inadvertantly said something about it.

except i think it's safe to assume that although we've found some, we did not find all.

We obviously need to buy more probes for planetary scanning - it will help us find more Element Zero.

Granted it is a tedious and time consuming task - hopefully we can consolidate it in later versions.
